Did JS7 give up a little something in the Baggett Indy vid?

JS7 - "Still bumm'n. Want to be out here racing, but everything is looking pretty good and I should have a few answers here within the next few weeks and so looking forward to that. To get myself out here and start racing with these guys again "

Anyways, could be wishful thinking on my part, could be wishful thinking on James part, but if his eligibility is reinstated because the FIM gives him a "time served" it looks like you could see James race a few SX races.

Would love to see it happen for James...

No idea, and it sucks because Im still torn on the subject.

1- I would LOVE to see JS7 back out there sooner rather than later...it would just bring that much more excitement to the sport this year (and its already a damn good series already)

BUT

2 - If you do the crime, you have to do the time. While 18 months may be a little extreme, the precedent was set in other sports (according to an MXA article in this months issue)....other racers, not necessarily MX, have been hit with the same 18 months for the same substance, so its not like they are trying to "make an example" out of Bubba....he just happened to be the one that got caught.

Anyhoo...back to the subject. I dont know if he let something slip or not...but I would love to see him back out there.

One can only hope....heard a few different things...one of which being the FIM is trying to get an extension....as much flak as people have given the JS7 camp for not following the rules with the TUE and all that, it seems the FIM doesnt have their shit together which kind of supports the JS7 allegations of the FIM folks screwing the pooch with the whole paperwork process.....either that or the FIM is delibratley draging their feet.......which is a shame....it sure seems that way.....

18 months is more than a little extreme in this case. It is horse shit.

What if they feel a Bubba return to American racing might be to much competition with RV in the Euro races.

Saw that too! Hope that's not for "Loser" and he's gotten some negative news before he can say anything. The sport needs JS7 as long as he wants to be in it...to win it.

haven't watched the video yet...

i will say that while i think it's good he got punished, i don't think the punishment fit the crime. that is if they don't let him line up for the nationals. i agree with keeping him out of supercross for the year, but if he can't race until August then in my mind that is much too severe.

Maybe he's retiring from pro racing and planning for his return to"L"oretta's.

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. That was too easy to pass up.

Hope he get's to come back soon. It's more exciting when he's up on two wheels and in the mix.

Had Glen Helen been the opener, the GP riders could have came and ridden the track since May 16th is an off-weekend for them.

DC should just tell the FIM to go fuck themselves and let JS7 ride the Nationals.

I'm sure if He had the Support of all the Manufactures He would.

at the end of the day , they either have to have the testing and the subsequent punishments or they have to let it go wide open.

The Manufactures wanted the testing now they have to live with the out come.

He goes 24 & 0 again obviously.. Blink

I just think the punishment was a little harsh.. If what we heard is true, with the paper work just not being filled out right or on time or whatever, then big deal man. A fine would of been enough. To stop the guy from working in the twilight of his career and to take him away from us, the fans (because of paperwork!) It sucks!

i dont like a $500-600 speeding ticket, guess what i dont speed , unless i am prepared to pay the fine. eithe follow the rules or deal with the results. , pretty sure him and the team knew what could happen if they made mistake or they get caught happen. , rulebook and penalty is easy to read.

I'll answer your question, but I think you're still missing my point.

Based on the policies that were in place and the precedence that was set, yes it was justified.

My point, though, is regardless of what the penalty is or what you/me/anyone thinks it should be, that probably has little to no impact on what I would imagine other racers think of him being able to get out of his punishment and compete with them on the line. I'm saying that with the number of people trying to "make it" and the competition on the line, I would have a hard time believing other racers would be ok with getting special treatment to race against them. That's where i'm coming from. Not necessarily the "appropriateness" of the punishment.

Unlike your post which is quite difficult to read. I agree, they fucked up and deserve a punishment, but in my personal opinion, the punishment he received is a little harsh.. Like I already stated.

Maybe my post was a little difficult to read too....

I would think all the riders would get behind James since it is such a bullshit penalty. Based on principal if nothing else.
