My thoughts exactly ! This Lupino guy qualifies 30th (deadlast) and has the balls to say the only reason RV won was because of the jumps. This is pretty funny. Hell I could go over and battle for 30th lol

I could go there and battle for 30th. If you buy me a pass. Use your brain.

AC has raced there twice
Roczen three times - that must be a huge advantage for him tracktime wise, really
How often has Tomac raced there?

Youre missing my point. The point was that I could go get last...duh . Im not saying I could go win a GP. I have a ton of respect for anyone who throws a leg over a bike, even LUPINO but How many of those guys have ever said "Well Tony Cairoli only won because it was in Italy or because it was in sand. Lupinos comment frustrated most of us I think. Trust me I am a GP fan and think TC222 is one of the baddest dudes ever.

I think this debate won't make much sense by the time the GH GP rolls around. I really don't see many American's even trying to race it to be honest. These teams ( American based ) have every single race planned out way in advance , and I'll bet none of them even plan to run the GP. Maybe a couple guys show up , I don't know.....but I doubt it. It would be cool as hell for sure......I just don't see it happening.

I agree, unless they have it in the plans already probably not going to happen, but there will be a few that will give it a go. I'm betting MA shows up.

crusty_xx: You're missing the point, it's not about how many times they've "raced" the track, it's about how much time they've had on the track. While KRoc has only raced it 3 times, he's had plenty of test time there over the years. GH is it's own animal. Namur is the only GP track I could think of with those types of steep elevation changes that would be anything close to GH. Too bad Namur is off the circuit, but is there really any GP tracks that have similar terrain?

This is not a track you just show up and your going to blow doors off folks. There's local A riders that will smoke some of the GP "Big Boys" on that particular track because they know how to ride it efficiently and very fast. This is a track that takes time to master. This is a home track for Josh Grant and look what he did there last year compared to the rest of the series.

We could have amazing GPs here in the states. Or even motocross races if they wanted to get away from the normal tracks.

I bet more privateers show up for that GH GP than US factory rides

Hell Qatar had some massive air time. Didn't help RV there.

I've never been to a go but I did go to Budds in 07 for MXDN and was in disbelief. A regional c class race would have more riders hitting the jumps there. I bet half of them didn't clear the tables down in the bottom and even less than that jumped big gulp. Guess that's what happens when you're from a communist country that makes doubles illegal, lol pussies

I must be confused. If it's easier for one rider, shouldn't the same track be easier for all riders? I thought pro's were pro's regardless of the track?

Half the riders at an MXDN don't race GPs though. Many of them wouldn't even be competitive in a decent european domestic series either.

Yep! If you enter the race, qualify for the race and the gate drops at the same time for everyone, how is it not fair?

You didn't say anything about being fair. You said "shouldn't the same track be easier for all riders", to which I gave an example where it is not.
