You guys are being sarcastic right, that place looks like crap. My track in my back yard is almost as big. I do also like the comment of natural terrain, cause those bulldozers sure do look natural to me. And imagine all those trees naturally falling down to make a course through the forest.

I think what you meant to say was, finally a sandy, surface of the moon track.

Qatar was in the middle of the desert, at night, no spectator on flat terrain with added dirt; Thailand was in an awful place, hot as hell, no spectators, flat land on added dirt..; this one at least is made with natural dirt (not added) on hills, in a beautiful place and they will race during the day; many spectators will attend; so I believe will look like a more real motocross race....I hope

Personally I think it looks promising. Certainly an improvement over the two previous abominations. Can't wait.

It looks promising to me too.

Beautiful setting, some nice undulations and the dirt looks like it should be decent. Im really looking forward to it. Actually not too much undulation, but I still think it will be a damn sight better than Qatar and Thailand .

Patagonia that's what I'm talking about. Beauty right there. I understand Dubai is the desert and that's that, but how you can go to a country like Thailand (that has some of the most beautiful landscape in the world) and not get within view of any of it is mind boggling to me. MXGP's could be the perfect sport to show off each country's unique and incredible landscapes. When they get it right like in Talavera, Arco Di Trento, Glen Helen, Lierop etc everyones happy again!

But they pick the track and build it to help certain riders win, not to show off mountains and happy trees.

I usually try to stay out of the Us vs Mxgp tracks debate, but heres my opinion:
The mxgp is a world championship, so i think it is just right to have gps in lots of different countries, and to have totally different tracks with completely different dirt, different layouts, different climate,.....
For example maggiora and lommel are completely different, just like qatar and Arco. Most people hate on tracks like qatar, thailand,...., but in my opinion it is pretty cool to have tracks that dont have a single thing in common. Thats what makes it interesting to watch, each race is something special and every rider favours different tracks.

Now im not saying that every track in the nationals is the same, but most of them seem to develop similar ruts, bumps etc... it almost looks like they would try to have the same perfect conditions at every round. Im not going to say if this is good or bad, but i just think that for a world championship, you should have as many different tracks as possible to not give, as an example, a good sand rider an advantage over a good hardpack rider. They already try to do this at the moment which i think is a good idea.

It's true Glen Helen is a shithole area but to everyone on TV it looks like a classic So Cal hillside and that's what matters. You don't have to know about the prison next door just the same as you don't need to know that beautiful Dutch forest is in a town called Lierop Cool

If they can draw in the Dakar fans, they'll have ridiculous numbers

I don't know how it will turn out but comparing Argentina to Qatar and Thailand is not fair. Argentinians love racing and already have the Dakar, EWC, MotoGP,...

The inaugural MotoGP of Argentina last year got tons of fans at a track in the middle of nowhere. People were riding on top of buses to get to it. Was supposed to be an awesome old school atmosphere. I expect something similar for this race even it looks like you could set off an a bomb and the track and not scratch anybody.

I wouldnt call it natural but it sure looks fun!

Don't forget, Argentina just held the 2014 ISDE too!! I remeber watching all the videos (i'm an offroad guy) and I noticed it was sandy, rocky & dusty as hell!! But alot of fans where there, even out in the dessert.
