Alright, I'll say it...all you guys (from both sides) that are going back and forth over and over are coming off as petty. Some of the rationale you use to justify a finish, or discredit someone else's is just plain comical. Honestly, the only people y'all may be fooling with the ridiculous arguments is yourself. Just enjoy the races and shut your damn mouths (both sides).
You my friend, make too much sense for this forum!

I realize Liberals ignore the truth... but you must have seen the 8-time champ just get beat by a series rookie... Liberal Ideologues can even see that... right?

Funny how riding smart is suddenly all fine and dandy as soon as the roles are reversed.

RV looked incredible in that first Moto, he was just so smooth.

But, AC out in front and controlled the shit out of it.

Anyone who says RV held it steady as he already had the win is insane, you don't win a championships by just having race wins, he needs every point he can.

RV2 will just continue to get better with experience... Where is AC222 going?
Get you're facts straight you fucking clown this was a new track

Just as I said after the qualifying race, Desalle and AC stepped it up. I am not surprised at all, they are great riders.

I will point this out to all the folks who keep saying Qatar and Thailand favor RV, you are incorrect. RV's weakness (if he ha one) is hard slick tracks than require more throttle control, every season in SX much is made of the series going back east where the dirt is softer where it will be an advantage for RV. I dont know where the idea came from that RV will struggle on softer tracks, but that is exactly where he performs best, if anything he is looking forward to getting back to the typical GP track.

The truth is RV isn't any better than the top GP riders, they are all fantastic and can all win on their day. And everyone expects RV to contend for the title and wins GPs. Can you handle that truth?

#2 the Thai GP at SI Racha was first run in 2013 ...

so quite how you win 4 years in a row on a track that didnt exist , in a country that held the race for 2 years ... well , you know , dont let the facts spoil a good post . 2/10
Not trying to fan flames but to clarify; Cairoli had won 4 races(motos) in a row in Thailand prior to yesterdays 5th in the first race(moto). Not years.

It was the man made jumpy tracks people were referring too. We know RV likes softer tracks...but so does AC. And the next hard pack tracks don't have as many jumps.

Saying that I think RV will do just fine at all the tracks and should be top five/3 even on a bad day. Thank goodness all the rubbish tracks are out of the way now and we got to see some decent tracks for the rest of the season for everyone!

The big loser today was Van Horebeek, feel sorry for that guy!

I agree somewhat, but its not like it actually was a SX track, those guys can jump jumps too as they proved in moto 2, I dont think either one of these tracks have been nearly the advantage for RV as its been made out to be. I'm rooting for RV but I am not blind to the fact that AC, Desalle, Paulin and Nagl are great riders, and any weekend when one of those is on it they can run away from the rest.

Im curious why there is always people from the UK coming on here on Vital and try to bash performance and defend AC ? AC rode phenomenal and RV said cant take anything away from Clement or AC. But the fact that as a rookie in a series of after a 1 year of racing outdoors and with a new team new everything and wins the second GP against a field used to the series is pretty darn good.

Its all about points , AC wasnt able to gain any positions in the first moto but RV made quick works on people early on and landed a third for the overall wich tells me Ryan is way better to make quick works than Cairoli, Cairoli always need the starts otherwise he aint comfortable to push it?

i was very impressed by Clement he rode very good and held his own pace the whole day.

And jesus christ how Paul malin needs to get his fact straight he said Tyla Rattray left KTM 2002 and rode kawasaki since then haha...

And Adam Wheeler i got nothing more to say i just laugh when he speaks about AC its OBVIOUS that he loves AC cause he filled in with TONS of information about AC and nothing about Ryans performance in the moto 1.

Maybe it was good to cut time of the second moto but " according to mr paul and adam wheeler this is the hardest series in the world" let them go full time just like in USA at Freestone ? Weird...

BTW steve matthes : I dont know if Ryan lands a podium in thailand after the first race in Qatar well he proved him wrong Wink

Cant wait for Argentina it shapes up to be a AC, CD, RV, trio atm!

Good job Ryan !

Should maybe lay down a few ground rules for us Redcoat Mafia types:

1. If Villopoto doesn't win, remain humble, gracious and magnanimous about him, conceding that he's still a great rider, with a great chance of competing for the title (which is what most do).

2. If Villopoto does win, just sit back, small politely, and agree when his fanboys use it as proof of his clear superiority over the rest of the field.

Because anything else is denigrating The Champ. Basically, win or lose, just eat shit and like it.

RV has been living and training in Florida for several years and Cairoli has been living and training in Belgium since he signed with KTM. Yep, Cairoli had a huge advantage with his three days trips in 2013 and 2014.

Who said it was huge? But he still rode there before right? Whats the squawk? And no Cairoli does not only train in belgium he rides a little bit here and there in europe ? Still a rookie in the MXGP cairoli is the champ shouldnt he win by ease?

I would love to see AC take a year of come to USA put a whole new team together and win a overall in the second race, that would NEVER happend cause he is to comfy in europe. I respect Tony but if there is someone who can challenge him as a rookie it will be Ryan.

It seems like people from europe are very upset that americans belive Ryan is faster than AC why is that?

I personally never thought it was going to be easy for Ryan to go over and crush the field ive been following the gp´s for a long time and i know how fast AC is but personaly with pure raw speed i think Ryan is faster but in the end its all about points and that is were AC is the master and every venue you go to is still advantage for Antonio cause he is used to the schedule and everything that goes with it.

The pressure is quite equal if you ask me, Ryan needs to prove the haters wrong and AC needs to prove he can beat RV in "his own series"

Exactly.

If Ryan wins people will say he dominates yeah
If Ryan lose there is a group of haters " told ya " AC bla bla

Ridicolous. But it makes up for a good series and drama haha.

This year the french GP is held in Ernée instead of St Jean d'Angély. I suppose the guys who has already ridden once in St Jean will have a fair advantage since it's also in France... Huh

definitly not but since the weather had such a huge factor that they even had to cut the second moto the field thats been in thailand before , you tell me that didnt have the heat issue in their mind ?

Anyway you didnt answer my question you actually trying to ignore it you dont like the fact that americans belives RV is better than AC? Cause there is a reason people from europe are on this site arguing about the subject just because the fact that plenty of people from europe are pissed of that the americans belives RV will dominate and when he dont people just have to counter and feeds on ryans bad performance in Qatar?

And again you did not answer : If you are used to a schedule and a series does it give you the advantage or not?

I dont know if you are one of those but ive seen PLENTY of haters from both side of the pond and i find both ridicolous.

The truth is that RV rode good this weekend. But the track and the conditions suited him more than anyone else, besides maybe Rattray. There is no way that AC had any kind of advantage whatsoever this weekend, but he still got the job done in the second moto. The same with Desalle.

No one had ever ridden that track before. Ever. It didn't suit most of the European guys at all.

Really? AC went from like 14th to 5th the first moto. Couple of more laps he would have passed Nagl for 4th

Cairoli never rode that track before, this is a different track this year. And what do you mean by putting a whole new team together?
