I'm not the first to say it, but I'm calling BS on Osbourne breaking his thumb in that incident. His hand never even came off the bars, and there was very little contact.
I've been looking at it a lot. The thumb that he had all bandaged up is the opposite side to the side that Bowers hit so the intital hit is ruled out. I watched the footage in super slowmo on youtube and Osborne keeps his hand on the bar the entire time of the crash, it looks like his wrist maybe bends quite far round at one point and appears that he is also still covering the clutch which could have tweaked his thumb. That would be his own fault, though, for not letting go of the bar.

If you remember, Osborne got taken out again half a lap later by Matt Bisceglia, this time on the side of the injured thumb. There doesn't appear to be any initial contact of the hand but it looks like Osborne goes down and lands quite hard on his hand. Maybe this is what injured the thumb or maybe it was a combination of the two but however you look at I don't see it as being Bowers fault.

You can see the takeout from Bisceglia here at 20:39

What amplifies the contact is that Zach got on the gas to either try to punt the tuff block out of the way or go over it. The tuff block instead acted as a ramp.

The block pass Bowers put on him was not bad at all in my opinion. He was fired up because John Gallaghar came up to immediately. I think that was wrong. John should have reviewed video and went to the pits and not have shot from the hip on that one

I've got some friends that were there and said that ZO had bumped Bowers a couple times before the incident and they thought he deserved it. The TV coverage didn't show much, if any, of it.

Does Pro Circuit pay out heat race win bonus's?

My personal opinion is it was a bit rough, but not dirty. And rough is racing. Esp when going for a win. Main event, heat race, semi, LCQ. It don't matter.

Zachypoo has a little history with being aggressive. I like it though. I also don't see the big deal with Bowsers pass. Gallagher is being a NFL referee who is too quick to blow the whistle. Let then bump and shove.

Gallagher getting in bowers face immediately after he crossed the line was something a mini dad would do. I was embarrassed for sx/mx to see him do that on live tv....... What a fuckin joke, it's not like he layed him out or randomly took him out. Osborne asked for it and then didn't back out of the line when bowers had it... Bowers did nothing wrong and I'm sure was just like wtf is going on right now.

Oh and Osborne blaming his thumb on bowers? Really bro? I like Zach and have known him a long time but c'mon.

Wacko ZackO is not done playing David and Goliath with Bowers. Should be fun to watch!
Is John Gallagher related to the OG Gallagher? Mabey he could borrow the Super Sledge-O-Matic and hand out any rough riding penalty's on the spot. TV ratings would skyrocket!

There is no doubt that Zach hit Tyler. Listen to them talk about it on Pulp. Zach admitted it and said that the only thing he regrets is not finishing it.

The reason that Tyler received increased scrutiny from Gallagher, the media and Vital is his past. Plain and simple. It should be very interesting to watch this develop.

ZO basically said he was going to get payback, and wouldn't it be something if it was at the final round and Bowers was racing for a championship. This could get big.

I love everybody just assuming Zach is lying about the incident. You guys sound like JFK conspiracy theorists.

My thing is, most of the guys like ZO, so payback for Bowers could come from anywhere...if it comes down to ZO and TB at the last round, who knows....I am pretty certain TB will come out on the short end of the stick this season....just my thoughts. I like both guys and have no problem with the pass. The lites guys are awesome to watch.

Let me guess here. You believe the Lee Harvey bullshit story? I bet you also believe exactly what the media reported about 9/11 too? The government would never lie to the general public.....

Hate to say this. Snack pack will not be near Bowers in points by the end. He has never and I mean never, threatened a title chase before. Bowers knows exactly how it is done and how to do it. My money would be on 911 Everytime.

Maybe its just me, but Osborne doesnt really have the size to start a "payback" war with Tyler Bowers. Bowers is also used to contact and how to avoid it and how to stay upright when it comes his way so I would hope that behind the scenes Mr. Osbourne realizes that this is not a war he will ever win.

Yeah the pass wasn't that bad imo even though it was kind of unnecessary for a heat race. But what i reacted to the most was the interview afterwards. Am I the only one? Made him look like a total prick in my eyes
Yeah...the pass wasn't bad, the issue was him being a complete tool in the interview. Also there was no reason to bring Blake up.

"Move up to Supercross sandbagger!"
"Take that kind of riding back to AX!"
I'm soooo confused

And...that's a wrap on this thread folks. Please move along.

I like the fact it's Rockstar vs. Monster with Osborne/Bowers.

Amazing how random things happen:

How do you know who likes who? Name some riders that dislike Tyler.

Yeah, agreed. Probably just a small crack or bone bruise. I'm pretty sure that a freshly broken thumb doesn't land you in 2nd place.

I heard Zack say his thumb was broken many times but I never heard him say it was from Tyler. He said he was bummed that his thumb was broke but not that the first incident did it. It sounded like a bunch of words being put in his mouth even on Pulp about when and how it happened and Zack just said nothing at that point unless he said it somewhere else.

Sure you can. Except it was the opposite hand that Bowers hit.

Tyler acts like he can't understand why someone would raise "rough riding" questions:

caption: Both Bowers and Hayes went down. Bowers, while still on the ground under his bike grabbed Hayes' front wheel and refused to let it go until he got up.

caption: A lap after Hayes put Bowers over the berm he drove into Hayes in the same corner, knocking him completely off the bike in one of the hardest take outs I have ever seen. Unfortunately I missed the take out but did get the action a lap later when Hayes was still trying to start his bike and Bowers used him for traction.

It does not have to be the side that he got hit on!!!! Stop and think about when the bike hits the ground and stops and your momentum is still moving forward with your hand on the bar what is going to give? Either your wrist or thumb. I broke my thumb with a similiar crash. I am not saying that is where he broke his thumb but to say he did not get hit on that side or his hand was still on the bar so he couldnt have broke his thumb is nonsense.
