"I'm not here to finish second place."

Summed it up perfectly.

Exactly how I saw it. Side impact when ZO pulled the trigger, boom full speed in the wrong direction.

I like the non plastic attitude. Hope Mitch does not squash it. Can't wait for Bowers to put Roczen over the bails in a practice session just cuz.

It looks like everyone was tip toeing near Bowers. I hope Hill or Zach boots him to the cheap seats.

Riding aggressive is fine, but it looks like he will take out anyone who is close by...

That is way different. Osborne did really not have change to avoid the hit by bowers. Stew just did not want to give up.

Rubbin is racing. You leave yourself an open inside line you better watch your ass.

Good for Bowers! It's not like he's beating the crap out of someone for stealing his peas. It's just racing!

Boy, you sure are taking the term vitard to a whole new level.

Loved Bowers interviews and I didn't think the pass was all that bad, but now after knowing that Zach broke his thumb I do think the move may have been a little over the top for a heat race. He could have been a little more patient.

Bowers is showing he is there to race to WIN! He had a lot of practice in AX with needing to make a pass! I have no doubt he isn't worried about the target some say he has now...he would welcome a little rubbin'. Props to him for going for it. Not a bad move at all in my opinion!! It's called racing guys!! He is keepin' it REAL!!!
Perfect answer. I remember when tyler was like 14. We were at Earlywines and he put a block pass on Codi Adams. Codi started complaining cuz he went down when Tyler passed him. Chris Earlywine(RIP) told Codi, his dad, and somebody else "hey its racing. At the level these guys are at that's how passes are made. You have to be able to take it and if you feel its dirty you repay the favor in the next corner." If your faster than somebody you need to do what needed to make the pass. If they don't like it then ride faster so they cant stick a wheel in on you. If you cant do that you don't deserve to be out front. I remember Scott Metz passed me like that so I passed him back the same way. He then passed me hard enough to take me out. Point is I got the message and next time around I wasn't nearly as aggressive because he was a bit faster than me. I followed learned his lines and got faster myself.

Seriously, nothing wrong with it. Sux for Osborne but he got out fine. It just looked worse because he held the clutch and it popped and got away from him.

If you go that far inside knowing the 4 x arena cross champ is closing fast, you can expect to get hit.

One thing is for sure, if it was Alessi that made that move and broke someone's thumb you guys sure as hell wouldn't be justifying it.

Bowers post race interview was incredibly refreshing, and his ride in the main backed it up I'd say.

Please, he squared up the corner and hit him, it was far from a clean pass. Zach didn't turn down on him or anything. This place fucking imploded when Mike lost control of his brakes and took out Tickle.

Even Emig said it was overly aggressive for the start of a heat race.

Zach getting whisky throttle and plowing through the tuff blocks made it look worse than it was.

Pure gold!
NOBODY is going to bump Bowers off his bike hate to tell you that lol he's one of if not the biggest guys in the class and what would you expect from the too AX guy for a few years straight? Looked to me like he bumped Bowers and we all said _oh no, you don't want to do that to a guy that revived his career in AX and was the vey best for 4 years? There was nothing wrong with Bowers move at all

"I didn't come here to get 2nd place'. I love it!

If everybody out there had his attitude, racing would be so much better. This wasn't a dirty pass. This was just a guy who is determined to win.

I think he had calmed down some after the heat race because there was a noticeable difference in his outlook between the two interviews (both before the main event) that he gave on the matter. I remember Josh Hansen getting into a similar scenario a few years ago too when he was in the running for a title, and it's not something you need. And that's the key point. There is something to be said for riding smart, keeping out of the drama and not giving anyone a reason to halt your progress. All this; Tyler is a big dude, Way to go Tyler bringing your AX moves, Tyler isn't scared to have a target on his back etc etc - it's irrelevant. A pint sized Zach Osborne can clean him out just as easily as anyone else if they go for it. This isn't wrestling. It'll probably fizzle out into nothing, but again there's the potential that it won't.

On the flip side, yeah I to like Tylers attitude of going for the title (I think he looked the best of the field last night and will probably emerge as the favourite), and not being being afraid to rub when necessary - hard but clean racing, no probs. Also, if he was hit first by ZO then that's different. Otherwise I just think that the move on Zach last night was a touch too much and a little ill judged for what was ultimately only a heat race.

Should he nonchalantly jump a class for a practice session just to hit Roczen?

I laugh on how crazy they got about bowers, and how that asswhole dave gallager ran upto him after the heat. Where they at the race last year when alessi missled himself into tickle?

If Barcia made the same pass you all would be singing a different tune.
