Ex pro Speedway rider, now retired due to a bad injury racing left me paralysed,I'm now in a chair as a result, broke my neck at C6/7,spent 4-5 weeks in halo traction had an operation to fuse things together and spent 6 1/2 months in hospital, that was 2002...

Thankfully family, freinds and my partner have helped me along the way to make the best of things, still obviously love Speedway,Moto and now occupy my spare time with classic/custom cars and bikes aside from the challenges that life obviously hits me with, and also most importantly here trying to be a great dad bringing up my new baby son Smile

nice to see what everyone does, thanks to those that served and those that continue to do so, both military and public.

I'm co-owner of a small machine shop. consists of myself, partner and my oldest son. we do CNC and manual machining along with CAD/CAM and welding. production work on the CNC's is the biggest part of what we do, 3 of us keep 5 machines running and when we have long run times my partner does the CAD work and I weld or do manual machining if we have anything that needs done. we also do some custom pistons, connecting rods, block plates, intake manifolds and sweet stuff like that for pulling tractors.

I have made some moto stuff but it just doesn't work out to spend the time drawing and programming for things I can just go to the shop and buy lol, for some reason a lot of my friends don't understand that. it is cool to make some of your own stuff, just not profitable.

Team Ideal-Way cool working with you son. Curious how things are in the Midwest because in the east we've had a very difficult time getting ANYTHING done from machine shops. Two different shops took our work and promised to have it done within a couple of weeks but in each case they hadn't even started at the end of two weeks. Rather than go through this a 3rd time we finally bought a 15K dollar used lathe and did the work ourselves.

Superintendent/CEO of Schools in my hometown, also known as the hometown and birthplace of the famous one..... Steve Matthes. Can't believe there is no monument here in the city Smile Seriously though, I have to agree with a many of you that this is an excellent thread.

I work at a college as a janitor even though I feel like I'm smarter than most of the people who go there. Sometimes I see an equation written on a blackboard like half an equation and... I just figure it out.

Great to hear that, always needed more than a paycheck to get myself motivated and the PTAs I've talked to have all told me the money's pretty good but the payoff is helping people live fuller lives. As an added bonus I can rehab my own moto injuries!

I worked for a Honda dealership from 1977-1983. Started off assembling bikes out of the crate at age 17, then moved up to wrenching in 78. Quit racing in 83 and didn't really follow the sport for a while until I saw RC kicking ass on a 125 in 97.....been and ardent fan since.

I have worked for various defense contractors since 1995 supporting US Army simulations (think flight simulators for Abrams tanks, Bradleys, and Humvees). Started off as an electronic technician, and have been a systems administrator since 99.

My job title is customer service technician for the local natural gas utility PSE, and I work in Gas first response (in other other words if you smell gas I investigate why). We also service furnaces and water heaters.

Life long member of the powersports industry. All aspects of dealer work in the parts and accessory department. Left that life 4 years ago for the job of a lifetime as the Brand Manager at Bel-Ray Lubricants. I manage our social media, racing activities and a whole bunch of other stuff.

I also manage and provide content for NJMotocross.com and am a photographer for racing in the New Jersey area.

See you at the track

It is! My Grandma is the oldest of 9 who are all 1/4 which puts me at 1/16. My cousin has 4 daughters who all would be 1/32. The first 3 have blonde hair and blue eyes, the last one looks like she came straight out of the teepee. Crazy how genetics work.

They all reside in Oklahoma where I was born and raised.

Sales Manager of a Yamaha, Honda, Can Am dealership in Washington state. Ironically I have not been able to have my nephew to our shop for autograph signings, but we have had the previous #2. Hopefully once he retires he can return to the
shop that gave him his first ride.
