Anyone seen the whole thing yet? I haven't got a chance to get the movie yet but I saw Hansen's segment and it looked super sick. I love these movies they really do a spectacular job.

Overall I enjoyed it. I wasn't that into the section with the mini racer though. It's not that it wasn't well made I just don't enjoy watching a small kid riding around on a scooter. I also skipped the Australia part because I honestly cannot stand Josh Cachia. Hanny's section and Russell/Strang were my favourite parts.

I'm with you on the kid riding a scooter part. Scooters are the new rollerblades kids. Don't do it!

I liked the Plessinger and Renzland part a lot.

Glad you guys are pumped on the movie! It was a blast to work on and we are all super happy with how it turned out. As for my favorite segment... I'm torn between a few of them. The Hanny segment is hard not to pick for my top but I really like the Dream Land and Zach Bell segment as well.

Dreamland is cool, but I honestly feel like it must be a prick to shoot. You can tell it's huge, but it's never looked amazing on film to me because the angles are all jacked way up in the sky.... Amazing place tho. Is there a sign that you can check the size of your balls at the front gate?

I wish the camera did the place justice Crush, cause you're right it has the biggest, and steepest jumps I have ever seen so filming it is not easy. I guess for me it's the colors of that segment that I find pretty awesome.

Yeha, thought the same thing, the place looks a billion times better than last year, lots of grass etc... and the tree/sand section is sweet... It's just so freakin big, it's like watching the SX races and the triples look tiny. You'd almost need to film there all week looking at every piece of footage to find the places that really translate, cause it's obviously nuts!

I think some of my fav moto stuff is the Osborne section a few ago when he was on the yamaha... that captured a lot of what I love seeing in MX vids.

Still great tho, i've bought every one!

I just bought it on google play in hd. It's pretty good, but I might like moto 5 a little more. The only gripe I can give is the soundtrack is a negative mark in my opinion. Too much hip-hop, but that's personal preference. I've only raced a few times, but love to freeride, so the Massachusetts section and the kris foster section were probably my favorites, followed closely by the Hansen section.
Edit: just watched it again. I guess there are only a few (and a few too many) hip hop songs, so it's not that bad.

Agree on the soundtrack, Moto 5 was really solid with songs. The Bereman and RV/AC section were/are probably my favorites still. Bereman

Having watched all the previous ones, I have to admit that I like Moto 2 and 3 the most. Especially the beginning of Moto 2 with the narrator and everything, it's way closer to me than the latest one. IMO, I'm looking for more story and flow. Obviously, there are other shows which can cater my 'story' needs but I'm kinda looking for that in the Moto the movie as well. All in all, very good watch, liked the camera work, music good. But can't wait to watch The Next Chapter!

Exactly my thoughts. The Beremen section was easily my favorite and a lot of that had to do with the song. I also liked RV/AC segment, Cachia section, and the Justin Hill section. I thought the songs in each of those were perfect for the sections.

My take: (apologies in advance if anyone gets butthurt or offended....these are just opinions so everybody just relax)

Segment 1: dude on the kawi and his free-ride skills were somewhat jaw dropping, I have to admit . Some of the other stuff has been done by Guy Perret (sic) back in the day on heavy-ass 600cc four strokes so I wasn't overly impressed. B+ based mostly on that Kawi kid and his tricks.

Segment 2: turns out whips and scrubs can get boring to watch. Great cinematography carried the segment otherwise it was just another vurbmoto amatuer phenom edit. Not hard to find some practice facility kids throwing whips and scrubs on the interwebs. Don't need to spend money to see that sort of thing. C+ for me.

Segment 3: kept waiting for one of these dudes to hit that container ramp. it either didn't happen or I didn't notice it. every aussie probably thought the segment was sicker than sick. for me, solid D.

Segment 4: I'm not into trials riding on enduro bikes or spectators pulling competitor bikes up cliffs and all that other hard enduro bullshit. but this segment about a hard enduro rider was a breath of fresh air. It had personality and character and you don't get to see that very much in contemporary "edits". Made me want some bangers and mash and wash it down with a pint of ale. B+

Segment 5: Here is the beauty of this segment....there is a storyline. Go to any film school or photography class and you will learn about the importance of a storyline. I was mildly amused but I really appreciated that some planning went into it. Plus, BQ has some personality. It's good but only in small doses. Solid B.

Segment 6: If this had been a segment about another kid from South-of-the-Georgia-Practice-TF, I would have hated it. Instead, it's some farm kid from out in the sticks that shreds and already seems to exemplify a tiny little touch of that NFG attitude. Before watching this flick I would have fought to the death to keep razor scooters out of MX videos but you know what? That skatepark shit was f-ing legit! That kid impressed! I'm starting to sound like a broken record but I gotta give this one a B as well. Good, but overall not outstanding.

Segment 7: The greatest of all time thus far, as I like to call him. Nothing in this segment made me go "Awwwww SNAP!!! No he d'int!!!!!" But it was cool to get a little behind the scenes from one of the most famous private practice tracks in the US. I'm going C+ just because this isn't first clip I've seen from "The Farm" and it wasn't really all that earth shattering. The shorts with boots combo made me laugh a little.

Segment 8: Really eye opening to see how lush it is down there. This segment showcased a really cool location and tried to get the viewer to daydream a little about just pulling over and riding some cool terrain anywhere, anytime any place. yeah man, when we like a spot, we just start riding there! That is a distant memory in the US unless you can wheelie real good and live in Baltimore. I've heard of this Homero dude before but I don't know if he's ready for prime time (if you consider Moto6 prime time). Solid C for me.

Segment 9: You want to impress me? Show this kid riding a technical hardpacked track without crashing. That would impress the hell out of me. Want to show me some sick sand track action? Gimme some Jimmy D on smoker. This segment just didn't do it for me. D.

Segment 10: Leg swag! So much potential here in this clip with the personalities and whatnot. But wait......haven't we seen a segment at Trey's place already? Oh that's right....it was in Moto2 The Movie. So.... we're back at Trey's again in Moto6. Sigh. This get's a B- just because of that shot of Trey laying it down whilst gently caressing terrafirma. I've seen others do it. It's always bitchen.

Segment 11: Hooray, something different! No perfectly manicured terrain, and a showcase of a very deserving young racer. Not gonna lie, woulda been cool to see some 150 action but I realize the filming of the segment did not coincide with the whole 150 experiment. Shit, Russel can lay down a sled in the water too, dang! B+

Segment 12: God forbid I should say anything negative about this segment, lest the wrath of vital be unleashed upon me. I've grown to like this kid but there's a certain one trick pony element happening. He's amazing, don't get me wrong but I don't know....I've seen the same whip so many times now that it's just like...."eh". I'll go B+ just to keep the rabid vitards at bay.

Segment 13: Remember the 90s? The sickest moto vids were the ones that showed what happens when things don't go according to plan. "I'll go to the doctor if I need to, I don't need to right now". Viewers were just blown away!!!! The 2010s have brought us immaculate practice facilities and swag, whatever that is. That's why Marshall coming up short at the beginning of this segment was so good. It kept me from losing all hope. I gotta give it a B+ just based off of that. The rest of it was alright but I was not convinced when Jimmy proclaimed that New England had EVERYTHING. Those little quarry hillclimbs are really cute, but any of the countless hillclimbs at Jawbone Canyon in the Mojave would make Jimmy choose his words more carefully.

Bonus Footage at the end: Yeah it made me smile because it was done the right way. Sort of almost tongue in cheek. Like the token segment that just HAD to be in there. I'm not part of the smoker-taliban or what have you but come on....who doesn't love the sound of a pinned 125??? A+ on that! It was short and sweet too. Didn't drag on.

BQ's segment was probably the most dissapointing, very little riding footage and it just slowed down the whole flow of the movie.

I tracked that song down (where Bereman rides with Hill) and who made it because I wanted to buy it. The music really plays a HUGE part in these segments for me. I have bought a lot of the songs connected with these movies.

Moto 3 is still probably my favorite.

One rant though, they always seem to work with the same group of riders. Not that I don't love hearing about them but its always cool to see the other competitors out there get to know them a little better.

Nothing wrong with a little constructive criticism so no offense taken over here at all. But you're right about the story telling, and if you only knew how many times we talk about that. And at the end of the day that's the goal, and we are working towards being able to tell a story either with each individual segment or as a whole movie. As we all know, the daily grind of the life of these guys is insane so at times it can be tough to spend enough time with a rider to really develop a story like we all want.

But I personally feel that this movie was a pretty good stride in that direction. We really wanted to be able to show some personality in this movie and highlight a small piece of what these guys do in the limited amount of free time that they have. Some don't enjoy it as much as others but I was happy that we were able to show a bit of the other side of these guys lives. Whether it be Forkner just absolutely kill it on a scooter (which who knew would be pretty badass?), Kailub ripping a jet ski and blowing up a bottle of tanerite that had us all nervous, or the Massachusetts boys banter back and forth at each other all day, I think it was a great step in the right direction.

I totally get it. You're trying to cover a wide ranging demographic. Not everyone likes the same things. I feel I should clarify that overall it was an entertaining film and despite what I perceived to be highs and lows, I totally recommend people see it.

AGAIN....THESE ARE JUST OPINIONS PEOPLE!
REMAIN CALM.
When's Spielberg gonna call you up to put this shit on film?

The Taylor Robert/Vineyard segment in Moto 4 has been my favorite so far.
