I should know better than to browse Craigslist.... you know, just to see if any deals are floating around. Like a barely used '06 CRF450. Hahhahah. Man, there aren't even any tire marks under the fender. 30 hours at most.
The funniest thing was I was trying to talk myself out of it and I email my brother Tim the ad hoping he'd talk some sense into me. He calls me IMMEDIATELY going "Get it, dude! Get it NOW!!"
"But I . . .. "
"Get it!!! Where's it at?"
"Lakeside."
"I'm actually driving that direction right now! I'll pick it up for you! Get it now!!!!"
hhahahhahahhahah A terrible influence!!
Price: $1850.00

Of course, the major prize is the chain adjustment sticker is still there unscathed.

Most of the marks on the frame are from me. I guess I shoulda shot it before I even rode it!

Details of shinyness.

I know this economy has been on a fast track to nowhere, but from the little action I've tried to make happen and with friends selling stuff, seems there's little interest unless you give it away or trade.
'tis the season and all, but it does seem to be getting tighter.

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
This is also the first 450 I've ever owned as I've been a small bore two stroke guy for the past 15 years.
It sure is a lot of fun to ride!!! I mean, let's be serious, I'm 50 years old; I don't need the latest and greatest.
My plan is to learn about setting up suspension with this bike. Gonna do all the revalving myself and
tinker with it. Motor will stay stock. Not even going to put an exhaust on it.
I know, right?! That's why I shot those!
Have fun with her and stay safe !
Nice bike, score.
That's kind of how this whole thing started. My friends San Felipe Bob and Jimmy Lewis are assholes... posting cool pictures of motor teardown jobs. I've always wanted to do a complete motor. So in a twisted logic that only a gearhead understands, I started looking around for an EFI 450R cheap that needed the motor done. I mean, that totally justifies the expense, right? To be able to take apart the motor? Riiiiiiiiiiiiight!!!!! hahahahh
But then this one popped up and, c'est le vie. So, in keeping with the tinkering gearhead spirit, time to learn about valving!
I'll give you 2 grand cash for it.
Not that it matters. Hard to go wrong for that price.
Good buy though. Looks clean, and cheap. You guys have it so good for buying used bikes.
Pit Row
I will tell you one thing -- I put in SKF seals and that was a noticeable difference in compliance in small stuff. Factory Connection bottom lock collars are also pretty cool for the twin chamber forks if you plan to hit the big stuff, sort of like insurance.
My side covers were/are the same way - don't know why Honda even used that crappy looking color to start with!
I'll send you a PM.
Nice find- let me know if you need a rear fender or twenty. I have box of them.
PS- I'm sorry for all the times I snuck into the Skateranch...
Del Mar . .. . . . Hahahahhahahhahah
Oh shit......
