It costs money to ride at englishtown. Whoever they stole their bike from might be at englishtown. People at englishtown aren't impressed by them, and lastly, they won't be able to piss everybody off by just going riding at englishtown. Why would they want to do that? If they can't chase them, then start shooting them with bean bag guns or tazers as they ride by.

Haha yes, I understood. Just trying to pile on. I can't believe that the police pretty much let them do what they want from the sounds of it. Can't chase them? Well isn't that dumb. Chase after them and they will probably take care of themselves. These losers make us all look bad.

That's the biggest joke of it all! You think Joey rides locally? Closest place is over an hour away, and costs $40 bucks! Sure it would be nice to ride for free, down the street, but that's ILLEGAL. What don't they get? We now have a society that believes they are "oppressed and "entitled" so it allows them to break the law. Makes me sick Sick

Obviously you don't know Philly. Crowded streets with people and traffic. Would not even be close to be worth it chasing them. Someone else (innocent) would be hurt or killed. I actually applaud them for that statement.

the fact that they do not get chased is what gave birth to the whole thing. they use the bikes to run drugs around town because a CR85 is basically a free pass to do whatever you want. double edged sword.

The cops are damned if they do and damned if they don't. If they chase a pack of dirtbikes and some 15yr old kid without a helmet crashes and dies they will be crucified for killing a kid for doing nothing other than riding a dirtbike.

And I agree. But because they have become more and more brazen it has gotten that much more dangerous. Either way if the cops chase them and something happens its still the cops fault.

Most police depts now have a no chase police on crimes on property, crimes on a person is different. Like said above lose lose for the police, civil suits termination, jail time, and officers dont make the rules, they do what they are told to do by supervisors and laws. Hopefully the shitheads wad themselves into a telephone pole.

This is true, around here the police are told to leave them alone by the higher ups, unless they (the police) actually see these thugs committing a crime, even if a civilian can I.d. The thieves, when I gave the plate number to the police I was told by the officer and I quote, I didn't see the vehicle, then he wanted to arrest me for an insurance job, I explained that my bike had insurance, not my daughters, my bike wasn't stolen, I had to call an officer friend to explain how it works, we are at these thugs mercy and they know it, I was hurt and my kid never rode again

Pave a square mile parking lot, asphalt in every direction. Put up a sign that says "Free Wheelie Area, wheelie boyz welcome" and see how many show up.

Zero.

You people don't get it. Well, some of you do.
I like the idea, and then when they are all contained in a small area the police can swoop in and confiscate all the stolen bikes.

NO disrespect Mom but that's kinda like saying we can't deport 8 million illegals but dang you have to at least try to do something. Right? They should be able to come up with some kind of operation to stop them.

True, but chasing them thru streets crowded with people is not the answer. Obviously they have a solution as they confiscated bikes and some where arrested.
Just imagine what kind of uproar would have ensued if they went after them in force for that funeral. Being smart instead of using brute force seems to be the plan.

$2000 dirtbike loss, is cheaper than the douchebags police chase costing the city millions if the idiot gets killed in a chase. His family will sue and say he was a honor roll student about to change his life for college lmao.

They destroy the bikes now instead of auctioning them. They realized the bikes were ending up back on the streets.

It'd be a whole lot smarter to contract with some out of the area/state dealerships to buy the bikes from the city. City gets money to keep going after the idiots and the bikes don't end up back on the street.
