I've defended Mike, but I can't help but think how many of the other elite riders in the sport are busy trying to get in the head of racers at an offseason "amateur" race. #shortsightedplanning

I agree with this and was also there, but let the mob continue. The fact is, Alessi was almost taken out while leading the race from an jackass fan that decided to WALK across the track right in front of Mike when he was charging through a high speed section. Alessi had to lock up the brakes to avoid hitting him, that killed his momentum. That idiot deserved to have his ass kicked for that, so if he was the one who Mike got into it with, I don't blame him a bit.

Haha..it's cool man, I'm not an Alessi defender at all, i'm indifferent to him and will call a spade a spade, but this might not be fair to him this time. I was actually pulling for Nicoletti to catch Mike, but until that fan did that Mike had him covered. Something also happened to his bike after that, that seemed unrelated to the fan incident.

You'd have to be good enough to even know this...and it aint rocket science....but sometimes there is a nice peaked part of the lip all the way to the right or left side of the face of a jump. It could be a 6" wide spot out of a 40ft wide face. So if jimmy had a line that he was hitting that gave him enough lift...yeah alessi could go and burn out on it to smash it down. i dont know what happened, i dont care either....just wanted to squash the debate on not being able to mess up a jump face for someone.Its the same when you find a sweet low line and the track personnel blocks it off with a hay bail
