Just saw this on Facebook from Ballards Offroad! Available for pre-order with ETA of around 6 weeks. $499AUD. Available for late model 2 strokes YZ125-250 and KTM 125, 150, 250, 300 and 85cc.

I have got a bud/hgs silencer an pipe too.. best pipe i ever owned, silencer looks sick too!

And the whole exhaust costs as much as the pc silencer. By the way, the pc pipe has got nothing on the hgs power wise

I don't understand this. I am a huge 2T fan, don't get me wrong, but this is crazy. I work as a fabrication engineer so I know what would be involved in making these and the price gouging on this piece is astronomical!

the problem is, 2T people aren't sheep, and they know that a 125 silencer is not worth 500 dollars, even if it were stuffed with 24K gold silencer packing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Australia have a fairly high import tax? I would take a guess that the US pricing would be a bit lower than what was posted above.

FMF Ti-2 has an aluminum canister, not carbon.

I have no dog in this fight... (I don't make any of the parts on this one)

But, all Ti tubing and stampings, Carbon-Kevlar body & Design Specific mounting bracket (versus the monstrosity on the other examples), EXTREMELY LOW PRODUCTION volume...and so on...

AND...the simple fact that it's "Aussie Dollars" versus some of the guys comparing this to list prices on the web in the U.S. & then you've got to add DUTY, Shipping & add'l mark-up by the importer...

Well, I guess I'm not surprised...you either want these Factory Parts...or you don't. I've heard the same thing said about other parts...chain-guides (all carbon w/very low-friction & long wearing rub-blocks), glide-plates (like the Akro-KTM part), Ti fastener kits/Axles/Pivots, other exhaust systems...etc., etc., etc. ...

The ones amongst you that're obviously Butt-Hurt are what/who I find the most entertaining. You're, more often than not, the same group of anti-everything-types that're ALWAYS Bitching.
"Four-Strokes suck..."
"Honda killed the 2-Stroke..." (Newmann get's an exception due to his Bardahl addiction)
"Video Killed the Radio-Star..."
Etc.

p.s. I get ALL the trick goodies and bikes that I can. In worth it. 5 2-Strokes including a hand-built KMC-USA KX500SR & '79 RC250 (really just a CR w/ a few RC parts/suspension). 12 thumpers including a coupl'a bikes w/ absolutely Ridonkulous goodies. Again, in worth it...as are a coupl'a buddies of mine.
