The 2015 KX450F, RM-Z 450, and CRF250R use Showa's SFF TAC fork (air fork), the 2015 KX250F and RM-Z 250 use Showa's SFF spring fork.

That frame on Dungey's bike is different, Probably 15 plastic on the 16 bike
It's just the lack of grip tape that gives it that illusion. The new frame's actually wider near the footpeg region of the spars.

I see KTM leading the way in advancement of dirt bike technology. They are moving along fast while the others are kind of lagging and I believe this is so because KTM focuses very heavily and mostly on MX bikes where the others are involved in all kinds of different products.

But I do have a Yamaha C2. Looks much better in the living room than a wheel loader.

200 ran the 125 pipe anyways right?
10/17/2014 3:54am
thought it had a larger expansion chamber

Wonder if they go with a rubber bar mount anytime soon?

KTM owned Husaberg & it was said this engine configuration was being developed for future KTM models. Some testers who rode it said the front end was vague due to the engine placement .
I wonder how much money they wasted bringing out this thing.

Woah never seen that before! Crazy!

I sometimes find it funny that al this central mass configuration thing they've been doing, say Yamaha, well one of the main complaints of that bike is the thing has a light vague front end. Kinda like all the weight has been moved to the rear... and so when the rear steps, it's violent.

The current Suzuki/KTMs and Kawis handle so damn good it's not funny. I wonder how much better they can get with engine config. Seems the Yamaha 250 this year will have given the industry reason to chase that config tho...

Yeah it will be interesting to see if & when another manufacturer brings out a reverse engine design similar to Yamaha...... With all the bad press the yzf450 had I thought they might go back to a conventional engine, gotta respect them for sticking with it & the new yzf250 seems to have hit the mark right off the bat.

It's probably a 150, they have always had a slightly larger (longer) pipe than the 125s. I don't think they will ever make a 200 again, because they have built the most versatile 250 you can imagine. That bike can do anything from being lugged by an overweight VET rider, to breathing straight fire in the hands of a pro.

You have seriously never seen that Husberg bike? It looked like that between 09-13 and got a bunch of enduro titles.

That motor config? I don't pay heaps of attention to Enduro but nope, never saw it. Saw the Ossa, seen that Husabery plastic etc but not that motor.

I'm not in euro bro, don't judge me!

thats probably true, (i've never ridden a sx250)
shame though because every comment i've heard about the 200 was very positive
and it seemed to bridge the gap for little guys who find the 250T a bit much and heavy

Yes, they used that engine on the Husaberg FE450 during those years. Not a very common bike outside of Europe I guess. So no worries if you didn't know. Guess most people don't even know they originate from Sweden, but as most succesfull Swedish companies, sold to a company outside of Sweden, slowly forced to the grave just to keep blueprints of engineering they can't figure out on their own. No, haven't been for a long time. Just like Husqvarna. Enduro is very popular in Sweden, the enduro season is so much longer than the motocross season. But KTM is still the dominant brand in the woods over here.

If it weren't such a socialized nation, capitalistic entities like innovative companies would stick around. Fact. Sorry, not sorry.
