It would be cool to see Red Bull step in and be title sponsor of both Supercross and Motocross. The Monster girls would need to go, but be replaced by classy Red Bull girls. I think it would be a sweet all around package.

-I don't believe a Monster re-up is a done deal

-The bros put a ton of money in to SX

-Cameras. Bose just had Beats banned in the NFL

You're right, but think about it. Red Bull.... 7/11..... it's still reaching the same 16-24 year old demographic. We're talking about adding diversity here. Home Depot/Lowe's would reach another demographic completely, and expose SX outside the Bro crowd. Think of who goes in Home Depot or Lowe's. Mostly males in the age bracket just above the Monster demographic. We're talking about 25-35 year old male homeowners who more than likely A) have a better career and more disposable income for new bikes/bike parts and SX tickets and/or B ) probably have young kids and may get them into the sport, or at the least, take them to an SX event and buy them a shirt. I'm not saying Monster needs to leave SX, I just think they could tone it down a notch, and that SX could use a more diverse sponsorship base.
That's a good point. People who shop at Home Depot/Loews more than likely do have more disposable income...at least before they shop at Home Depot/Loews.

I get that we need them for sponsor money, but damn I hate what they have done with Supercross. I remember going to the races and being able to walk through the pits without there being 5 million people there and have a good time actually getting within then feet of the team pits. I also feel that they have really given the sport a bad image for something that is centered around families. Don't get me wrong, I still love going and it is probably my favorite day of the year, but I could definitely do without all the monster crap, I wouldn't touch that stuff with a ten foot pole anyways. Of course, some opinions may vary.

I Don't drink monster or energy drinks period.. But i do hope they leave.

If they do stay.. scale back the fucking marketing... we realize is monster energy supercross.. but stop it with the got damn logo spamming.

One reason why i love the Daytona Sx

It looks normal.. or maybe excessive honda.. but dear god its a great change of pace compared to seeing that got damn green claw everywhere.

In all honest, I preferred when amp'd mobile ran the series... atleas they gave us cool foam hands, which i still have.

Or take it back even farther.. when right guard was giving out free deodorant at the end of the races at anahiem

GoPro is printing money as we speak. I could see them do good things as a Title Sponsor with either SX or MX. Their market cap since going public has gone from 2 Billion to 9 Billion in less than 2 months. Plus its a cool ass company.

You know, I do agree that the pits are waaay more crowded now, but is that really a bad thing for our sport? I don't think so. Say what you will about Monster, but they have elevated Supercross (good or bad) to a new level.

Plus...

My god what a bunch of whiners. We should just be happy that any company wants to spend the money that Monster shells out to support "our sport". Series sponsors don't grow on trees.

Back in '11, I went to Home Depot and saw a cutout of Ryan Dungey with a Makita display. I thought it was cool and I bought Makita tools, since they were supporting the sport and I needed power tools, but I seriously doubt anyone not already into the sport would gain any interest based on something they saw at Home Depot.

One thing that crossed my mind after reading some of the posts in here....is that there is good and bad with Monster and Redull both.

On the MX / SX side of things......everyone has an opinion. The opinion can differ when it translates over into the 4 wheel motor sports....or even something else.

Anyone on here that has known me long enough , knows that one of my past hobbies ( which i still love to do if I have the time ) was to fly Giant scale RC aerobatics. In that hobby / sport.......Redbull had a shit fit with us. They threatened anyone and everyone who ran a redbull sticker on their airplane. I know of two different airplane manif's that got threatening letters from Redbull saying they needed to remove their graphics.

This was after the manif's had been approved to build a scale model of a certain redbull air race type airplane ( even though we don't fly like that ) . And on the opposite end of the spectrum....The guys who were running monster graphics....were greeted with open arms.....Monster loved it!

What I'm saying is....maybe some companies look / act different in some sports.....where as in others they are not liked so much.
