It's just me or...When I watch GP in TV the racing looks boring compared to AMA series. Is it cause of tracks or how the TV coverage is made? It has nothing to do with number of riders on the gate, but to me it's like the TV guys in US know how! Btw great weekend for Anstie!!!

There are exciting and boring motos in both series.
Having a favourite rider helps making them exciting even if nothing really happens. Maybe that's the difference? No one to cheer for in the GP's?
I know it was an issue for me in this years 250 nats till Musquin. I don't care for the other kids much.

I think both the GPs and AMA series can be great or can suck.

For me it one thousand percent depends on if there are any battles on the track. My girlfriend will ask me why do I fast forward sometimes and I will tell her I am not watching races to see people ride around. I don't care if it is SX or MX if there isn't a dogfight it looks like practice.

BTW I think TV coverage on both sides of the pond has improved over the last few years. I like it that they don't show the leader ALL the time and instead focus on battles going on.

Bunch of riders to cheer for definitely, but to me the GP series ( in TV) looks boring, slow, but I know the speed is there. Last week I was in Loket and there was such a great racing in MX2 class, but in TV it was not that good. To be honest, in TV, AMA series looks 10 times better compared to GPs. IMO. Without the doubt, great racing on the both sides of the pond.

The GP series focus on putting their cameras where they can have the big billboards in shot for the longest amount of time. End of straights focusing towards the start of the straight etc. While in the AMA the cameras are put out to have cool shots(with billboard times too ofc) to make everything look as fast and actionfilled as it is. Just look at some GP's from a few years ago. Everytime they switched camera it started showing a big sign above or next to the track. They have gotten better though its great now compared to earlier years.

And swede Filip Bengtsson holeshot moto2 and lead a few laps. That sure was exciting for me lol

Great class, 300 cc 2 stroke.... but ... why a 300 cc ??? What is wrong with a 250 cc 2 stroke championship ???

Anyway, like i said, i like the class. I'm a 2 stroke fan. But it needs more depth. No less then 3 riders in the top 10 are guys that normally ride in the amateur class in Belgium. The winner of the day, Mike Vanderstraeten, is a 22 year old kid that is Belgian champion in the amateur federation, but it still is an amateur. It is not correct that he is able to win the event today.

Filip Bengtsson really impressed me at the GP of Finland. He has the speed, but just for couple laps.

I was out of town last weekend, and caught a GP on the hotel TV... don't get it at home at the moment. Looked like a local vet race, and I'm no hater!

one of the best GP's for a long time , but again , you had to be there, TV coverage cant show everything , there were so many stand out rides , De Reuver coming from dead last in Moto 1, De Dyker turning up for the first time all year , and Paulin doing the quad lap after lap...

MX2 was great too, EMX250 races were fantastic as well, as well as a full grid of 125's...

People watching on TV and saying 'it was shit' have no idea..

Track got pretty rough as always , never a dull GP there
