From what I saw on TV I have to agree. I'm a Red Bud slappy from way back, been there close to 40 times and while the atmosphere and presentation are second to none the track this year was oversimplified. It was groomed beautifully but a little disappointing especially on the south end. Spring Creek looks like it has more elevation and the new hill was spectacular!

Red Bud is more historic in my opinion, but I think Millville is a better racing track. Millville has produced some of the best racing of all time. It's all personal preference and opinion, though.

I can't even begin to imagine the turnout if Dungey and Martin both appeared at an MXdN event at Millville. I would lose it if that actually happened.

I agree with the Boss. For the last 20+ years I have been going to Red Bud and Millville. I have missed less than 3 events at each. They are both epic and both should be on everyone's bucket list. That said, this year after attending each I strongly believe Millville was measurably better. The one thing that defines outdoor motocross is elevation change. The more the better. Millville jumped the shark tank this year. Mount Martin surpassed any live experience or picture of this sport I have ever seen. I have yet to see a pic that shows how cool it is. Tip to you photo guys.......you can see more in the spectator area than you can trackside at many places at that facility. I love Red Bud to the bone but you can't create 400' elevation. You either have it or you don't. Imagine if John Martin put in a right turn after the exit of the whoops and ran the track to the ridge line and back down before the fly away........? The mind reels.

MXdN tends to F tracks over it seems. It seems like more trouble than it's worth. Budds Creek hasn't been the same since 2007 when they hosted it. The owner spent a lot to prepare. Held a top notch event, but has been obviously broke ever since. On regular local race days now it's a shit hole because he can't afford to keep the place up anymore. Something tells me that like the Olympics and world cup soccer the money goes to the organization, not the venue.

With that said. I don't want any of that to mess up our 2 best tracks.

Unadilla use to be one of the premier tracks.... how does it stack against Red Bud and Millville?

Is the MXDN still headed to Glen Helen in 2016? Or did the FIM fuck us?

When I started watching moto a few years ago Millville is definitely the track that stood out to me. The hills are awesome, and compared to Glen Helen it looks like paradise. Its whoop section is bigger and more fun to watch than Red Bud's, especially the split-entrance. I really liked Freestone's whoops, so these are a nice compromise. The back section after coming down Mt.Martin is fun to watch, twisty-turny and w/ that floater jump. Good racing always...gotta be my favorite.

The MXDN will never happen at RedBud...or probably Millville either. I heard that they had approached the RedBud years ago, but the FIM deal is they completely take the event over and control EVERYTHING. The Ritchie family said "Ummm...no thanks!" I assume the Martin's would feel the same. Maybe that is different now....not sure.

I have said NEVER a few times in my life and lived to see never happen.

Anyone hear what the attendance was for Millville last weekend? I was there and sure looked like a lot of people, maybe more than I've seen the last three times I've been there. Weather was real nice especially for Millville; sometimes its hot and humid.

I can only ever eat maybe 10 of those at most when they're hot and fresh. I take the rest of the bag home. But holy hell are they good.
