What kind of pu*sy needs a compression release? Smile

Take the time to get it Top Dead Center and the thing will fire in the first quarter of the kickstarter stroke. Every single time with my CR500.

That bike is awesome. Congrats, Tim507. Wow!

Once you Learn how to start one you can do it with a sneaker on , I had a atk 406 that was a bitch to start , you had to kick it foward btw what a sick bike , if you get bored with it I will trade my 07 RM 125 and my 05 Rm 250 , I wish Ktm would bring back the 380 in a sx version , those RMs would be gone tomorrow

The only thing it needs to be the perfect bike is a compression release.
Watch the video. It has one. That thing is sweet. I think you got a hell of a deal on that thing Tim. We need a ride report for sure.

Everybody keeps saying you got such a sweet deal. What did you pay?

I hope you saved enough for a bigger fuel tank. That thing looks like it's got about a 3-lap range.

Very pretty, though.

I'm with Willie- wanna hear it. i was disappointed that the owner didn't crank it over on the video.

Just finishing some toast and coffee and out the door for the 4 hour drive north to pick this gem up. Paid the asking price of $7895.00. Very nice bike for that price...all the components are top end.......not sure I want a bigger tank as I ride a XC 500 and a XC 300 for offroad. This is going to be my MX track bike.....I just finished rebuilding a 2002/1991 CR 500 AV and then thgis bitch came along. Now I have new mistress in my shop!!!

Nice bike, but if it were mine I'd get rid of that bigass "K" on the clutch cover and that plated pipe...

From a parts perspective it's the complete package. And the price was amazing as well.

Of course I'm curious how it actually operates on an MX track when so many critical components have been altered.

Can't wait to hear a ride report.

He is a real nice guy...banker for B of A. Used to race however he got hurt. He builds bikes and sells them for the shear pleasure of it.....

The bike going to need some sorting for sure........I have a Showa A Kit set up from my Dungey and that will get put on before Iride it. The A Kit is on my 300 right now so that set up should work as it is already set up for me and should work just fine on this bike.

thats a great looking bike. and youre right, great deal for all those parts. looks to be done pretty professionally.
Is that an AKit shock body?
im curious to how much that bike weighs in at as well.
Also, if that thing is a pain to start, Larry Weichman on KXRiders forums does a decompression valve mod for the head and looks better than factory for only like 100$. check him out.

Yes it is the A Kit shock and fork. have not weighted it yet, but was told about 236#. the bike has a decompression valve mod on it and is small and simple....

A Kit came from PC.. it was the first one they did as I purchased it in mid 2012 for my 12 Dungey...I'm not one for dissing on anyone but PC's support SUCKS.......long story .... and I'm sure there is 2 sides....never the less from my point of view their lack of cooperation ended it and that lack came from the guy one position below the main man!

Sorry if anyone does not like the truth as the truth always hurts....Whistling

Always open for discussion...........Wink

Tim Sullivan

Ride date should be this next weekendWoohoo Woohoo Woohoo

I may be looking for a set like this as I'm trying to finder newer suspension for my KX 125 build I want to do. All I need to know know is.....what freaking shock can I use on the damn thing!

Congrats on that new KTM 500 man!
