With the current state of our society, I really hope and pray that motocross doesn't go to the dogs. It is the last bastian of good that we have left. Once it goes it's all over boys, just flush it all down. I feel sorry for the people who have been following pro cycling for decades only to see it float in the toilet. Fortunately I dont think our sport will ever gain real media attention and for that I am grateful.

General rule is DQ (no points) and a ban (depends on substance, ban for a substance in a medicine is shorter than a pure substance). If it happens again a life time ban.

Guys I thinks its safe to say there isn't a press release coming today and I highly doubt itll ever get released…. At this point my opinion is that its either something stupid they fsiled for which isnt newsworth or someone with a lot of "power" within the industry has found a way to keep the info from being released…. As for the press…. Mojoman42 dude were talking about motocross, the one sport/industry thats so archaic and behind the times that im surprised that any one is surprised this topic is seeminglty being covered up. The media in out beloved sport (aside from Matthes) is an absolute joke. Im sorry to say and I hope I dont offend any other media people but for the amount of shit Matthes gets I feel really bad for the guy, they say "the first one over the wall always gets the bloodiest" and Matthes is the first and likely the only media member that is bringing legitimate reporting and journalism to our sport and he deserved a helluva lot more credit and praise than he receives. Stop and take a look at yhe way he reports the news, good, bad, or indifferent he reports it and takes a lot of heat from riders, fans and the industry as a whole. IF he were to ever quit we'd be back in the dark ages with little to no hope of ever scratching the surface to whats REALLY going on in our sport… 99% of the other media outlets report rainbows and sunshine, afraid to upset a rider for fear they will not talk to them again or send out angry tweets… gasp!
Sorrt to go off topic here but you guys (and some of you do) need to realize that there are already plenty if people that know and are capable of reporting this on their sites but are fearful 0f the backlash they will get from the rider, his fans and his entourage. I tip my hat to Matthes and the work he does and couldn't imagine how I used to get my moto news fix before he went full regalia as a media member… .like him or hate him, he is the closest thing this sport has to REAL journalism and I dont see anyone with the stones to step up and do what he does. Please don't take his as a dis to any other medua outlets I think a distant although worthy 2nd place is racerX… after that its either fluff pieces or a gaggle of old men reporting anything they feel like making up erroneous or not although I do value their bike tests. I'm not swinging from his nuts either as im sure someone will say I just would like to see more appreciation for someone willing to stick his neck out in a sport/industry where everyone else is too scared to go hard in the paint with their journalism. I respect his work and look forward to every podcast he releases each and every week.

Matthes does takes some risks, while he also admits to withholding some stuff at the 'owners' request.

Steve Cox is the only true investigative reporter that I've seen in moto. And I'm afraid that nobody's buying what he's selling.

Sorry but all Cox does is try to pass off his opinions as fact and wants people to thinks he's the smartest person in the room, there is a reason no one buys what Cox sells. Matthes does a good job.
