I hope AMA will not become Europe where 60% of bikes on a line are KTM's.

WGAF? If Jimmy can realize better support from Surdyke and have better results, how can you call him a sellout? You'd do the same thing!

Yeah...Because it would suck if the big 4 actually tried to innovate or build a diverse product line......
Blink

KTM has been giving the people what they want and are starting to reap the benefits of it.

Because Kongols is a crybaby and has to find something negative to say about everything.

Jimmy is a grown man trying to make a living and if KTM is gonna give him more support than Honda, he has every right to go and ride for them. Unless he broke a contract or something like that, which I doubt happened. But Kongols is a better man than Jimmy and all the rest of us. Kongols would never "sellout"

Wouldn't that indicate something to you, like say, oh I don't know, KTM could possibly be the best bike you can buy?

I think what Kongols was saying is that it's nice to see a variety of machinery on the line, he wasn't talking down KTM.

We're pretty saturated with KTMs over here in Europe but they're popular for a reason.

Mid season switch, that's gotta be tough. It sucks he's missing High Point this weekend, is a week much time to sort out a new bike?

I would imagine he switched because he's on the slowest 450 by far (about 7-8 HP down I believe) with some serious chassis flaws, and the KTM is one of the fastest with a very solid chassis package. The KTM is one of, if not the best overall 450 right now IMO

Jimmy's Sprinter van is still in Grand Junction Colorado. Not only a cylinder/piston and turbo shot, but also the head. Going with a remanufactured long block that should be delivered to the shop by Wednesday, and hopefully roadworthy by next Friday. I do want to say without all the generous donations, it just wouldn't be possible, and his season would have been over. He is half way there in donations for repairs, and he will do what it takes on his own to get the job done.
www.JimmyAlbertson.com
Jimmy will announce the top 5 donations tomorrow that will receive signed Fly Racing Jerseys, and 6 thru 10 will get signed Beer/EKS Goggles. The list of contributors is on his website. Jimmy is overwhelmed by the support!
The 1 week break should allow the Albee Bros to be at Muddy Creek for round 5 and to continue the outdoor national run video series brought to you by MOTOSPORT.COM

Doesn't KTM have the best contingency out there? I do think so...and it is a far better bike than the Honda. Those new hondas haven't had much love from the fast guys.

What's going to happen when KTM steps up and says that they don't like the double displacement rule for four strokes? And then they tell AMA Pro to change the rule or they are going to take all of their toys and go home?

Would be a shame if the biggest name in the sport pulled out over some stupid double displacement rule.....lol. Laughing

The times, they are a changin'.......

Wont happen.

KTM runs the GP series like Honda does here.

Honda has more money and power than KTM in the US though, even with the popularity of KTM taking off here.

KTM doesn't mind the double displacement rule.
