So the 250 has Showa SFF air but its not the latest version like on the zook right?
Yes it is the new triple air sff fork…. I can't wait for these bikes to be out a while, with the rmz and the crf250f having the showa triple air forks a set is bound to pop up on ebay at a good price and I'm going to put them on my 06 RM250… I imagine a fork like that on a lightweight 2 stroke would be pure butter on the track!
Remember, since 2005 Honda has been on a 4 year model cycle with their 450. The newest version came out in 2013, so don't expect a significant change in the chassis until the 2017 model, if they stick to that.
They also have a history of getting all the issues fixed by the end of the design cycle, as they did with the 2008 and 2012 450's, before they throw the design away and start over.

I don't believe the 250 has the triple air. I don't see the extra canister at the bottom of the fork leg.
the 250 is triple air just the chamber is located in the fork lug instead of off the back of it and this is because they they switched the sides so the air side is on the brake side, no room for the chamber off the back.

I was thinking the same thing The Suzuki SFF triple chamber air fork is on the Right leg and the Left leg is the damping leg. In the CRF the air leg is on the Left the balance chamber on the bottom of the fork is not there as that is the mount for the caliper unless Showa has put the balance chamber into the leg but I think it would be a pain in the A$$ to set the pressure with the valve on the underside of the fork leg.

This is exactly what my suspension guy and I want to do but I hated the KYB PSF forks. So I'm waiting to get the reviews on the new forks.

Truth. Shitty for me I bought the 2009 CRF450. God I hated it but every year they got allot better. A friend just grabbed a '12 leftover and I was all for it. So much better looking then the new Honda's with all it's sharp angles and I don't think I could ever bring myself to buy a bike with dual exhaust.
Sometimes I just wish that bikes came stock with no options for adjustments and no aftermarket companies, haha. I know it's crazy but sometimes I think the more options you have is just the more chances you have to fuck it up

I disagree. More bells and whistles the better. it will help someone that knows what they are doing get the job done. I'm just saying I'll F it up for sure.

Haha, well obviously it helps someone who knows what they are doing. I'm using a bit of hyperbole here to basically say that I think bikes just might getting a little more advanced than the average joe can or will be able to make adjustments on. I think some guys (and I'm speaking for the average weekend warrior, not a factory rider) see the availability of all these adjustments and spend more time worrying about what adjustments they can make instead of worrying about just putting in seat time and improving their riding skills, that's all.

By the way, Darryl, I think you and I must be pretty bored at the moment because we have been responding to each other's posts in multiple threads, haha. Maybe we should get to work
high speed and low speed compression and rebound! gonna be amazing to be ble to valve and dial in all of those things separately! im a fiend for adjustability and improvement though.
I'm getting off a 2005 crf so all the goodies are stacking up. I love tuning the suspension . I used to ride long soft motocross on Tuesday and clay sx on Thursday for years and you had to use different setting for each. If you don't you are missing out on the bikes potential. I have gone to the sx and believed there was no way I could get through a rutted clay turn fast enough to jump through the rhythm sections even though it worked perfect at the outdoor track but with a few clicks like maybe speeding up rebound etc with in a half lap I can feel that the sections are no problem now. It really works. I adjust my buddies all the time with out even telling them sometimes but they trust I'm helping and if not it won't make you crash. Fun
I can't wait for a ride review.

This is pretty funky... all 3 adjusters located on the top of the shock on the 450!
