NBCSports has a decent feed of the races. If you have a iPad and Apple TV you can stream it through your TV.
I have a Apple TV but don't you have to have an account with some provider to get access?

I hope you're right that second motos are on NBCsports.

Currently, I've got MavTV dish 248 @ 2 PM MDT Sat. and it says 1st motos.

Then, on NBCSports dish 159 @ 11 PM MDT Sat. its simply titled motocycle racing and there are no details.

Rest assured the NBC airing is Glen Helen. It says so in my DTV description.
Furthermore, Hangtown on NBC is listed at 3pm next Saturday. (live)

Weege was on the MX Preview show & he said that there aren't any streaming restrictions on Moto 1's.. (like last year)
But NBC has a broadcast agreement and they require you to authenticate a cable subscription before streaming. (like last year)

Surprised the MX Sports website does not provide details on how to view their product. A Vital MX thread should not represent the primary means of communicating broadcast details.

MAV TV's limited coverage should mandate instructions on how to view 1st motos. References to allisports or promotocross.com seldom offer instructions for on-line viewing (subscription-based, links, Google/AppleTV compatibility, etc.). And it's not the duty of Vital members to provide those details.

The event is little more than 3 days away, yet questions abound as to how MX Sports' service will be delivered. A little legwork and due diligence can answer most inquiries, but it shouldn't be this cumbersome.

We'll horseshit. I have dish top 250 and I don't even have a damn channel. 248. Sure am glad I upgraded to that 100 dollar a month level to NOT get Mavtv. This is bullshit and I'm pissed as hell.
You don't need 250, just add the blockbust at home thing. I believe its $7 or $10. Sucks, I know, but better than upgrading to 250. Also, It's HD

@Averagesuperfan @pulpmx As long as you have cable TV service that carries NBCSN you can watch all second motos live on web.

Direct tv loves moto, surf, racing and fishing. I can find those at most any time of day.

It is on Dish, on channel #248, but unless you have the most expensive package it will cost you. It cost me $4 more a month, not bad I guess, but I would rather it be included instead of being nickel and dimed to death by TV.

I'm looking to switch to a provider with MavTV and I'm looking at Dish Network. I don't see the MavTV in their highest TV package. Maybe their TV listing hasn't been updated.

http://www.dish.com/dishdeals/?WT.svl=main-nav

Click on the "See Channels" link on the Top 250.

Eff I hate changing TV providers. Such a pain in the ass.
Ya i talked to Dish, it doesn't come with the 250 crap, I added some crap called Blockbuster at home that comes with Mavtv for 10 bucks. My good year at Dish is up this month and Charter offered to pay the penalty if i switch, TV is some dorked up crap these days. I may cut it all off and make me a local antenna.

Mine is right on my cable box. First motos are live on mav tv this weekend and second motos are tape delayed due to hockey on nbc sports network. Already have dvr set. I really dont know how this is so hard for people to figure out.
Wait till everybody see's that 2nd motos arent live this week. There will be a catastrophic meltdown.

Great for you if you have MavTV and NBC Sports. But probably 75% of the viewing audience does not have one or both of those options.

But don't worry, it is streaming live on the internet on NBC Sports. But only if you can authenticate your cable subscription with one of their "approved" providers. Oops, just eliminated another major segment of the potential viewers.

It was said that they are streamed live on promotocross.com, but I don't see anything on that site that says anything about watching the race live. And someone else thought that you had to log in to the website to view, but I don't see anything on the website about joining or logging in?

So I guess an hour before the event starts I, and probably tens of thousands of others, will be in panic mode trying to see what websites we can log onto and hope it works....? Great plan.

I know we should be grateful there are any viewing options at all, but it really should not be such a complicated cluster fuck.

Question: for those of us without MAV TV and unable to watch live streaming content, what's the best way to view this season's first motos?

Exactly this. Spot on.

Can I (as a non-American) watch both motos online? Don't mind paying for something similar to mxgp-tv.

Yes, its there today. Where will it be when the event arrives? Might be changed. Thats part of what frustrates me. Especially since I won't be home to check and make sure the DVR is set for the right time and channel. I missed stuff before due to exactly this reason.

On my DVR I tell it to record a season pass of 'Motorcycle racing' or whatever NBC is calling it.
That way it will record every showing of that title. (if set to record all episodes)

Maybe even tell it to record an extra 15min in case of a red flag on the live motos. (not needed on tape delays)

Since I can't remember if promotocross archived the motos immediately ( I think they had to wait for the replay to air, so it was almost a week before it posted) and can't get an answer.. who the hell knows.

Find a friend who has directv is your option or wait til someone loads to youtube and grab it before it gets deleted.

I have COX too. I'm showing the NBCSH delay Sat night at 10:00 PM to 12:00PM PST. Two hours so maybe it's going to be both motos.

DVR's picking up Hangtown on Sat the 31st 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM too.

Either way thanks for the answer. Looks like I'm covered for this season.

So let me get this straight.

If you have Time Warner Cable, one of the biggest cable providers.
You get screwed out of seeing the first moto's because they don't carry MAVTV and you can't watch the 2nd moto's live because it's not live on TV and Time Warner is black balled from the live webcast.

Thank you, mxsports. Great job.

I called TWC and areas like Palm Springs get MavTV in HD but others zip codes closer to LA don't get the channel at all.
Go figure..

it gave me the option to add just MavTV only for $4 a month as well as two other more expensive options.
