Canard is very fast and talented, but he's coming from an injury and people are putting him up in the top 3. IMO, that's not realistic.

Canard had a period from 2010 to SX 2011 where his raw speed was as good as anybody in the world. I think that he has so much talent and contend if he is fully ready to go and gets a fresh start in a new series.

??? He just came back and in his first race a 5th? Second race a 4th? Bad start this past weekend.....but hell yeah Trey can win races. You would be foolish to think he couldn't.

He won the 2010 250 Outdoor title and last year won a moto at Spring Creek in the 450s, and has also beaten every guy he's racing against outdoors at least once.

If he's healthy, Trey's got enough under the hood to beat anyone. That's basically always been the case with him.

I forgot about Spring Creek, sorry. Yes, i do agree that he can beat them once in a while. But i'm talking about overall championship standings. To me it doesn't look right.

Well, like I say, he's got a national title to his name so whatever floats your boat bud.

If he stays healthy, he's pretty much always at the front and almost always one of the very fastest, some might even say he's Stewart like. The title pretty much proves that if he stays up, stays healthy, he's a contender.

In fact, I'm almost sure if you look at it, 2010 might be one of the only full outdoor seasons he's finished. And he won.

Did he finish the 2013 season all the way?

James will crash his brains out at least once.

Barcia is a lame duck; riding a bike he hates with a contract supposedly already inked with a new team.

RV is out.

KRoc is a rookie.

Reed just now started riding again.

I'm feeling very good about Canard's chances of being a top three guy. The only guy that I see that is clearly and consistently faster than Trey is James.

Have you seen him ride? If he can keep it on 2 wheels he's on par with the top dogs.

Outdoors? He attended all races but basically crashed out of Unadilla I think.

Indoors, nope, not even close.

Can't believe Spring Creek is off the schedule.

Canards raw speed and talents insane. He will top three some races but I just can't see him coming out the end with a third or better in points especially with three outdoor national big boy class champions racing

You say chances are great that James will crash his brains out but not Canard? I don't want either of them to, but James has been healthier (or at least racing more) than Canard for, well, always... I mean when was the last time Canard raced every race in a season since moving up to the 450.

I sure as hell hope that he can do it for MX this year!

Trey is gonna be one of the freshest bodies on the gate, along with Millsaps. 17 rounds of SX has a lot of the other guys beat up and worn.

Davi will have to find out if his speed is still competitive to run with the leaders. He hasn't seen a gate drop since Vegas '13. I'm not doubting him, but a year is like a decade in Moto.

Trey, on the other hand, has seen competition this year and knows he has the speed to run with those guys already. I look for him to be strong early, while the others find their outdoor mojo.

Davi's speed is never the problem. Dude is faster than hell.

He hasn't completed an outdoor season on a big bike, and i'm pretty sure one on a tiddler. That's the problem.

It would be one of the coolest stories for him to come back and win a championship after all he's been through.

Agreed. I'm a huge Millsaps fan, even when he went through his "whiney-baby" stage at Honda...although he was going through a ton of personal crap that had his head completely jacked up. I don't know how great he'll be on the KTM, but I hope the Kawasaki rumors are true. If they are...DM might have a real shot at the 2015 championships!

Back to Trey, though. He's going to be fresh, rested & fast. I think you're going to see a real Stewart-esque conservativeness in Canard for this year. Not that he'll be a mid-packer...or satisfied with that, but he'll know when to back it off rather than play Superman just because he can, and crash again. I believe he's realizing his limits & maturing. Bottom line is, we'll see...

I think Canard went 2-2 for second overall at spring creek, but my memory might be off.

I hope he does well this year and on, no injuries. Loved the MAD SKILLS at 6:45 going for it.

Honda just needs to put a "No Scrub" clause in Treys contract.

Super talented. No way to count him out of the top 5, he should podium often; however I feel technically he is still learning the 450 vs. his direct competitors.

At this time, I feel the big 3 is Dungey, JS7 and Roczen, I do not know in which order.

Do you think James will be faster this year or last year when he and Trey battled?

Lets be honest now.
