I was talking with one team last weekend that had a setup that allowed them to match what the rider was seeing with their GoPro, to data (including segment times, g forces, speed, etc.) that they acquired. They were saying top speeds were around 50 mph, but I didn't get any info on an average speed. Of course, that would be track dependent.

It's a lot faster now than the 90's as a result if track design, which I don't like.

Track length = .512 miles, average lap time = 1 minute, so .512 miles/1 minute = x miles/60 minutes. Solvng for x we get 30.72 mph average speed. Of course I have no clue how long the track was, so my answer is worthless.
