I'd rather see him skip it and be as close to 100% as possible for Glen Helen, assuming he isn't close already.

I find it odd Stew hasn't posted something yet saying that he's all good or that he'll never quit or something like that. Usually after he takes a hit he's all over that.

I can't find any post race Yoshimura video or anything with James saying what's up. Weird. Seems like he's always up front...or has been lately.

He must have wrecked something in that knee? I hope he's ok of course.

The way I saw it was JS7 dabbed his foot and twisted his knee hard and his brace shifted when it twisted, If he blew out his knee he would not have been able to hit that triple. Kinda hard to pull into the mechanics area drop trow and reset your knee brace on live TV and in front of 40,000 fans

I had a feeling that it was not as bad as all the naysayers were talking.

Said it before.... I dont know why all the armchair docs were so certain it was that bad. Watch his 2007 injury at Washougal. It was a much harder hit..and he instantly flopped over and did not even try to ride. At NJ...he rode another lap..and even tried a few doubles and triples. We will see next Sat how it really is. Once they got the bike sorted (SD onward) Stew was the class of the field on the hard surface tracks... LV could be good for him. I am sure he wants to match RVs win count for the year.

Great news! It's cool he'll be racing LV, but man I hope he's 100% for Glen Helen.

yeah, come to think of it it is always up on monday, I'm glad he's okay to race.

But everyone said possibly for sure he most likely definitely wrecked it - I can't believe anything they write here anymore...

I agree with this here, if his knee indeed isnt badly injured, Id rather seem him give it rest, ice and some down time and put in 100% towards an outdoor title ! He has the speed again to get it done.

He's going for all time SX wins, nobody knows if he'll get there or not, but if an opportunity to win opens up at Vegas he's going for that. If he feels ready for Vegas then he feels ready.

I agree with everyone else. I rather see him skip Vegas and get ready for outdoors. I assume he must feel he is gonna be good enough to win Vegas otherwise he would skip it.

How important is 3rd in the championship for he and the team? He is only 6 up on 4th place Roczen now.

How much choice does a racer have in a matter like this? He has a contract to ride!

I have thoroughly enjoyed having James be a part of the Supercross series this year. He really is a very special rider, and, at times probably the fastest man on the planet. I was watching practice at St. Louis down close to the track, talking to some guys so I really wasn't paying much attention. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a streak of yellow obviously moving WAY faster than everything else around it going through the section...I looked to see and sure enough...it was James...trying something different.

I'm too old to be a fanboy, but I like James. I think he's great for the sport, and I hope he stays around and healthy for a long time. Smile

I'll be there live for the race so I'm super stoked he's good to go. The track looks like it has a sweet rhythm lane and I'm hoping he can put together some awesome jump combo that makes my jaw drop.

YOSHIMURA SUZUKI’S JAMES STEWART TO RACE LAS VEGAS SUPERCROSS
Stewart geared up to finish 2014 season strong

CHINO, CA (April 28, 2014) – Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing announced today that James Stewart will race the 2014 AMA/FIM Supercross Championship season finale at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas next Saturday. Although the two-time Supercross Champion injured his left knee this past weekend at the penultimate round of the series at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, Stewart has since recovered and feels good about racing next weekend.

“We were really concerned after the New Jersey race on Saturday night,” said Yoshimura Suzuki Team Manager Mike Webb. “But although he twisted his knee pretty bad, we had it checked out this morning and we all feel good about James racing the final round of Supercross. We’ve had a tremendous season this year, with James winning five main events, picking up his 50th career victory and taking over second on the all-time Supercross wins list. James and the whole Yoshimura Suzuki team are looking forward to ending the 2014 season on a positive note in Las Vegas next weekend.”

Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing’s next event is the 17th and final round of the 2014 AMA/FIM Supercross Championships on Saturday, May 3rd, at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.

Your guess is as good as mine.

I sure wouldn't want to write PRs for the teams. People dissect every word looking for clues to things that might (or might not) be there.
