It's a pity he chose the party lifestyle, drugs and drink,
Crashed his Porsche into my van at a race day once, coked off his head.
There's many a racer that's kept on racing while on drugs. Racing professional motocross is very difficult. Do you know for certain there were not other factors such as injuries?
What you're doing is slandering someone publicly. What if he did have a substance issue? You feel comfortable as someone 20-30 years older ruining his reputation even further, kicking him when he's down? No, you're just being an incredible asshole. Who the fuck proclaimed you the Internet judge casting your judgment on everybody?
Everything you know is second, third, fourth hand bullshit collected by your douchebag self because you have nothing better to do than slander young people. Go you.
So you just go on licking balls maybe you will get that sweaty jersey or jock strap you always wanted.
Definitely RJ

Part of the problem riders face is all the fan boyz making any and all excuses, I wish Stroupe all the best and hope He has overcome what ever problems he had or has.
To me a Surprise retirement is someone at the top or seemingly healthy and competitive suddenly deciding to walk away.
Hepler was hurt so much and with the head injuries , it wasn't so much of a surprise as it was a good personal decision.
RJ and Bradshaw for me. RJ was THE man in his day. Had he not gotten hurt I think that he would have won more titles. Bradshaw. I had never heard of a top guy deciding to retire because of off the track stuff.
I have no idea why people are surprised that RC retired when he did. He had been riding most of his life, won titles in every Major US Professional class, and had won 10 straight MX titles I believe. Who wouldn't want to relax a bit after a career like that? Besides, it's not like he just walked away one day, he did it in stages.
