Did Astars ever quit making jersey and pants for a while? Because I remember some Alpine dudes switching to Fox and it not being in MvA...

Just when I think that the A Star gear can't get any fuglier I'll be watching that weeks race and it's more horrid looking than the weeks before gear. There isn't one set that I would ever consider wearing.. ever... Hideous just hideous :-)

I am a huge Barcia fan but I will have to admit the fact that the A-stars gear has been butt ugly.

But much respect to A-stars though, instead of sporting the same old shit each week (pc pc pc lalala) they are mixing it up with some new style. Sure, some gear is really hideous but sometimes they hit the nail on the head.
But I have to admit that it was more stylish last year, a bit more creative this year though.

I think that they stopped importing the MX gear to the states for a few years. That's why only pro riders with a A-stars contract wore them.

Astars has been making gear for about 12 years now. This year is the first that they have imported it to the USA. Its available directly from Astars online now. Click on the link below to view what they offer.

Are we really that bored to the point of fashion faux pas talk?

I should call TMZ, this is hot stuff!

For the record, 7's gear last weekend was pretty cool. Especially the neon green boots.

At least AStars has achieved what they wanted...attention. You damn sure can't say their gear is boring. And, they found a guy like Barcia who enjoys being controversial and the center of attention to wear the stuff. Sounds like a genuine win-win to me!! Laughing

Funny that Tomac either isn't given the same stuff JB51 is...or simply won't wear it.

How about some REAL camo like some were wearing to honor the Armed Forces, instead of that redneck-chic Mossy Oak crap? I could see Villopoto wearing that because he's a legitimate hunter and outdoorsman...but Barcia? Nah...

I'd imagine we could get davis a dunce hat to start. Barcia must just be posing as a legitimate hunter here.

Only Barcia could run with style with that kind of gear...

Herlings gear for practice at the last GP in Arco di Trento. Looks pretty good to me.

He had a pretty sick custom design for the races, the pic is on my laptop, I will post it later.

Even some questionable designs are better than the same old stuff every week, so props to Astars!

Why the hell don't they just put him in the gear they are selling...

It's about a 100000000% improvement on what he has been wearing!

I think the real camo set looked badass.

I wasn't a fan at first. It started growing on me as the season went on. I don't really care for the blank shirt plastered with logo's look.

That real tree gear is the shit though.

Here he is riding the trails.

I dig the Astars gear. Would I wear it,probably. Does it look good on tv,definitely.

if you could get the camo with the accent color you wanted, like blue instead of orange. hmmmmmCool i could work for a stars.

I think that the gear looks awesome. It suits Barcia's personality pretty good ( not so much Tomac). Some of them are a little crazy but it makes the riders stand out and probably pumps them up knowing that the gear was made just for them. And it's not like this is the gear that they are putting into production and selling, these are just one-off sets. I would definetely buy a set if any of these went into production. Then again, I'm just a 16 year old kid

You could pull that off, but you'd have to have the helmet too...

Meanwhile, Herlings apparently knows the designers and they like him.

The bandana stuff that barcia had a few rounds ago looked good IMO. Some of the other stuff not so much. The stuff alessi wore always looked good and the stuff misquin wore looked good too same with what barcia wore last year. Maybe they're just trying something new who knows. Usually it's on point but not so much this year.
