Thing is sweet! how hard was it to fit the new plastics on that frame?

it pretty easy to do. everything pretty much bolts right up. tank and shrouds bolt right up. subframe bolts right up to the stock mount on the ride side there. air boot is the hardest. but if you know anything about aluminum frame conversions then the air boot will be no problem.

I know the new 4 stroke tanks have a large hole for the fuel pumps. What did you do to make that work with a normal fuel petcock and the carb?
aroden. simple make a round plate to take space of the hole. then put the petcock in. in this photo i have an aluminum tank on the bike. but for moto i use the stock 450 tank that has the plate.. if you can't make that, i suggest not trying to convert the plastics.

How does the bike feel with the new body? Is it much different? Better? Worse?

Paul was early 80's, for some reason I have Jason Shultz pictured riding this one, but not 100% sure on that.

Travis, Spud never had an association with DMC, you're thinking of the Dublin Kawasaki 80 he rode in '89 when he was 6' tall. One of the magazines did a test at Mammoth on his bike with the gold motor DK sold.
Shhh....DK! That's right, now I remember, started with a D.Wink

Travis - it was great to meet you yesterday at Hangtown!

I am still recovering from that last Moto, just about everything that can hurt does today! The pictures of your CR do it little justice as it is really clean on the stand... And better looking when you went past on the track! Tongue

Here is my submission. It's my 2007 RM 250. She's ready to go once the snow melts.
