I don't like Barcia but Mookie ran into his rear tire as Barcia was squaring up...clean pass , Mookie was at fault.

Shredder is correct. Bammie's front end washed because Mookie was tapping him. Otherwise I thought this was fairly clean for Bammie.

When I saw it during the race I immediately started cursing Bammie but then realized after a few replays that it was a fairly clean attempt but Mookie stayed down and connected with him therefore both go down. Neither one of these riders do I think can normally make a clean pass and ride a smart race end to end so I wasn't shocked by what I saw one bit.

What was a shocker was seeing how Poto smoked everybody. Welcome back Poto!

A rider to watch closely is Hahn. He put in some fast laps and while not challenging for the top 3 there is some speed there that will every now and then land him on the podium and push off the Dunge, Roczen, and Stewart.

Props to Short also last night. Solid.

that's the second time the Mookster has pushed another rider.... the AMA can't keep letting it go. Personally, I thought if they would have taken off their helmets and settled it like men right there that would have been awesome.

Barcia's pass attempt was ill conceived and a desperate move. Why didn't he try the pass in a safer more effective place. Barcia is frustrated and acting foolishly, and this time it bit him.

I can't understand everyone's excuse that his front end washed out. It washed out because he dove in too hard when mookie was too far ahead to try a block pass yet. Barcia was way faster why not scrub passed him on the next jump? It gets old that these riders refuse to pass each other without contact when it isn't necessary. He got what he deserved though crashed and got 12th. Mookie probably shouldn't have launched his bike at him but running 5th at Daytona and getting taken out would be a bit irritating.

Are u retarded? Watch the replay in slow motion. Barcias front end washes out right after Malcolm runs into the rear end of JB's bike. Thus causing his front end to wash out. Mookie was trying to cut under so he didn't lose the position, but Barcia was there. Mookie tried to cut under too early. I like Mookie, but that was his fault and it was ridiculous for him to push JB and then launch his bike at JB. That being said, Barcia sure took it like a little bitch lol
When is the last time you have had someone run into your back wheel and it made your front wheel wash out? Lol get real dude.

Aside from arguing whos fault it was if barcia ever wants to be a serious contender in ama sx mx he needs to stop getting himself involved in incidents like this . It doesnt matter if your fast and aggressive if you can't finish the race. Imo kroc tomac hahn are all head and shoulders above barcia . all thats left to see now is if barcia grows up and learns before he wastes a series of great bikes getting no results and ends his career as another hanny .

Barcia ran straight into him, twisted the throttle and dumped his clutch. Woohoo

I have zero respect for anyone named Bambam that does not retaliate after being pushed......what a puss

I'm a Barcia fan, so I probably shouldn't bother saying anything. Although, I've seen this train run its coarse on more than a few occasions.

I think he's done worse, this pass was pretty clean IMO. But, again, I'm biased.

Interesting what people think they see because they don't like Barcia , he attempted to steal malcolms line through a corner and they came together and fell ,end of story .Then there's the part where Malcolm assaulted Barcia with his motorcycle.

Barcia's block pass was fairly routine as far as professional racing for position goes. Stewart's tantrum was inexcusable.

Seems Mookie has given a few people a pretty good shove–Any penalties there? I don't have an opinion either way, just though I remember them saying no one was to touch anyone else after an incident.
They used to have some sort of "hands off" rule. A couple of years ago the AMA DQ'd Martin Davalos at Atlanta after practice because he stopped and grabbed Barcia's helmet chin bar to yell at him for something Barcia did to him during practice.

Apparently they forgot they used to do this becuase Bogle helmet slapped Mookie and Mookie has shoved Webb and Barcia but no one has been DQ'd. IMO a shove is no big deal in the heat of the moment but if it goes further then there are problems.

Justin's problem is that he doesn't know how to execute a pass any other way. If he did, he'd have a few more points than he does now. Instead he gets to taste the texture and consistency a lot of different kinds of dirt.

Mookie turned into Barcia. It was an aggressive pass yes, but do you think BamBam would take himself out?
Its racing, and Barcia put a classic block pass that most of you wish you had the balls to do. Mookie should be
fined, not Barcia

This one is completely on Stewart. I've called Barcia out my fair share of times for the moves he's pulled, but this isn't one of them.

Does Malcolm literally have no awareness at all? Or would he rather take both guys down than get passed? It seems like when a guy has the line on him for a block pass, he just stays in it and doesn't check up at all. The Anderson pass the turn before they came together earlier this year was the same way. There's also a few others I can't think of off the top of my head too. James used to be the same way, but not anymore.

I have seen Barcia do his fair share of dangerous riding and unnecessary contact on block passes, but this isn't one of them. If Stewart checks up like every other racer would, this never happens.

All of that though could just be Malcolm learning. I'm fine with that. What I'm not fine with is always shoving people in the back when these incidents happen. The AMA needs to put a stop to that immediately. No way should you be allowed to constantly push other riders while the race is going on.

Even that though I can understand being pissed about what he may think of as a take out in the heat of the moment. What is absolutely inexcusable in every way, shape, and form is hitting Barcia with his bike. Shoving another rider deserves a fine. Doing that deserves a suspension.

Barcia has made himself look like an idiot before. Last night, Stewart made himself look like an idiot.

All the Barcia nuthuggers are missing the point. There was no reason for him to be that close to Stewart, he can't just make a pass, he always has to try and make it a statement by running it in on someone or running them high etc.
He's extremely frustrated, things haven't worked out the way he wanted, KRoc has schooled him as a rookie, so he almost killed both of them with the whip over the jump. He's been shown up by almost everyone in the class, so instead of running for wins and podiums he chases people around the track and tries to make aggressive passes on them.
RV saw all this two years ago when he called him out during the CBS preview - said he had absolutely no respect for Barcia, thinks he has a screw loose.
He should spend more time trying to figure out what is missing from his program instead of how he can take the next guy out.
Piece of garbage.

Though I dont live in Barcias head and know exactly what he is thinking, this seems like it is pretty on point.

All you dumbasses saying Barcia's front end washed out are retarded. His front end washed out because Mookie RAN into the back of his bike first, which in turn caused Barcia to go down. Tards
^^^ Dumbest post on this thread. Keep telling yourself that. LMAO.
Mookie turned down to avoid Barcia's tuck. Look at all that track to the left and tell me again why Barcia tried to block pass in the sand. Right.....when Barcia learns how to pass correctly he might have better results. Cutting down and getting a better drive out of the corner is always faster than block passing in the sand. Watching Barcia is like an accident waiting to happen. He has let that BamBam name ruin his career.....he could be a great racer. (getting bumped in the rear made him tuck the front....baaahahahaha....what the fu*k ever,,,baahahaha)

Yeah, I'm trying to figure that one out too.
MS touching or hitting JB's swing arm had zero to do with the front end tucking......it was already tucked and causing JB some trouble regardless of what MS did. yes it may have cemented the fact that JB was going down by adding pressure. MS should have checked up and re-grouped.

The rest has been presented soundly here in the VITAL court of SX opinon in the last 3 pages.....

I woke up and was looking for this thread!!! Most amusing to read I must say on a Sunday morning while enjoying a nice cup of JoeWoohoo

There was no way barcia was going to make the 2nd exit rut. It is a bummer mookie last his cool with the allissi clutch control moment but barcia was going to bust out of that 2nd rut anyway, mookie stop and wait or not.

Maybe barcia should avoid bamming malcolm the same way everyone on the track has to avoid being close to barcia. And too bad we don't get to see what went on between these 2 before the above vid is posted just of that one moment.

I'm not a Barcia fan at all, but I don't really think it looked to be an intentional BamBam, he was running MS high, washed the front and stuffed it. Yeah Stewart should have given him more room cause he would have seen him coming, maybe that would have stopped them going down, maybe not. So all in all just a racing incident that could have been avoided if either used their heads.

As for the Malcolm antics, I admit, I had a good laugh, I understand at the time Malcolm probably thought it was bambam taking him out so I can see where it came from. Wheeling into someone like that though, yeah, probably not really acceptable, it has too much potential to end badly.

Overall, Barcia did have some sweet passes throughout the night, especially one on Short, he needs to stop putting himself in these situations.

Not a dirty move IMO, but also not a smart one in view of the pyro between the two of them in the past. Can't really fault Mookie for standing in there; that's what Barcia counts on guys not doing when he goes deep on them, and I can't imagine Barcia thought he would just lay down for it.

I don't think either of them was planning to give the other guy any quarter. Barcia was faster than Mookie at that point of the race and could have moved past him in a lower risk move, maybe even in the following straight if he'd used the turn to set him up rather than as an opportunity to go in hard on him.
