But in Bubba's defense, I am sure I saw Tony Alessi frantically waving the pit board in the mechanics area. Must have broke the fastest man on the planets concentration and caused him to grab too much front brake. No way it could have been Bubba's fault he wrecked..
Big James "predicted" in the practice stream that he wasn't just going for "three" in a row, there were going for way more than that. With this turn of events winning out may be the only option for his title hopes. That's a tall order, we'll see.

How many riders posted faster Segment times than James:
Segment 1 - 11
Segment 2 - 7
Segment 3 - 8
Segment 4 - 10
He has some stretches with no traffic...and he did not show the speed from earlier in the day. It reminded me of the old James. Win practice. Miss the set up in the main...over ride the bike. Crash out.
SX is becoming more like other motor sports in that it takes the whole package...rider...AND hitting the set up for a specific track / surface. When they hit the set up...James has race winning speed. When the Kawi team hits the set up...RV has race winning speed. When the teams dont hit the set up...the riders dont win. Even RV and James can not over come set up today.
He was being bubba? He wrecked in a corner. I think there's been about 50 corner crashes this year. Just so happens it was on the first lap so he got swallowed up by the field. With competition like they have this year, it's hard to come back from that.
Oh and for the record, saying someone broke his concentration does not necessarily blame that person, rather than find the Root Cause for his concentration break... Maybe you just do not understand the situation because you ride 1/3 his speed, so it would never break your concentration...
As for the Stewart crash, has anybody checked the course for boobytraps. Looked like on TV like a small bomb went off or perhaps James got caught up in some barbwire. Maybe the mob got to him and told him he'd be sleeping with the fishes if he didnt do what was told?
Watch the Yosh vid....and Jame's body language. He knows he blew his championship...and is now just racing for wins.
I was really hoping James was going to tighten this points battle up but combination of impatience and stiff front end set up continue to haunt him.
The dude has been one of the most patient guys out there this year.
Too much front brake in a slick area and he went down on the first lap, not sure how he was being impatient?
Bummer for JS7 for sure....Losing the front end albeit, is a crash, but I dont look at it as one of those "James" moments....simply lost the front end going into the turn on first lap...it was pretty slick and that is how RV lost the race....
Pit Row
In the main...there were plenty of gaps when he was not in traffic...and he NEVER turned a seriously fast lap...or even a fast segment. Not one. After the race...he even said the harder he rode...the slower he got. Face it...the 7 was slow in the main. It just shows how important set up is. Not one of these guys can ride around a set up problem.
Go look at the best segment times....how far James was off..
1 -0.17s
2 -0.64s
3 -0.26s
4 -0.58s
Heck...MIKE ALESSI turned faster segments in EVERY segment than Stew.... Has that happened...ever?
They simply did not have the speed in the night show...that they had in practice. Look at RV...they had no speed in practice...and top speed in the night show. All this is there for anyone to see if you are objective and pay attention... Kawi adjusted and nailed the set up. Yosh missed it. Simple as that.
James was way off, or just phoned it in after the crash. Neither is good. It didn't seem like the bike was bent, just levers knocked around.
Bought my first Cycle News when I was 8 years old!! Only quit that rag when they closed their doors
