The answer is as easy as 1-2-3.

I was always under the impression that 100, 101, and 123 were on hold by the AMA for incoming riders from outside the USA.

But, since you've held on to it now for this long, keep it. You've always been one of my favorite riders, Brett, so it will make it easy for me to spot you on the new red bike next year.

Go with 24. People will get use to it in no time.

Take the 24 it is more of an attraction to NON PURIST media and fans.

You have worked hard for it anyway.

I like 123 because it has become you like Bubba, Alessi, TP, etc. Dont look at it as you are fast and earned 24, you are fast as sh$$ any way and earned the right to choose and stay with your three digit, not many can do that. How many 3 digit numbers can people name immediately? You would be one of a few!

Also, you could have your wife or kid choose. Congrats on a killer year and being one of very few that finish a race with everything you got!

123 = BM . I would keep the 3 digit. A 3 digit on the podium is BA in my opinion.

Whatever you pick, best of luck this year.

Here's an idea that might be fun:

Have your clothing sponsor make up two jerseys. One with #123 and one with #24. Whichever fan comes up with the most compelling reason for one number versus the other gets the jersey with the number you DID NOT choose.

Great way to promote your sponsor, involve your fans and someone gets a collectible, one-off jersey.
Sounds like a killer idea Jathey!

Stay with 123 until they can give you the even lower number than 24 that you earned.
actually I can choose from 19, 20, 21, 24, and 28. But 24 has significance. Same goes for 123...

Start fresh with #20 and make it significant to you.

19 is a very cool number. Bummer 27 isnt available as its a very famous number for successful Aussies racing overseas.

24 for sure...how man racers can say they have earned a two-digit number? Who cares what number it is...the fact that you have earned that is a huge accomplishment and you should represent...anyone can pick a three-digit #.
