I know it is early in the morning here but I cant help but make a post about this trip we are about to make today. This will be my first time ever attending a supercross/motocross event and I am SO ESSITED, really ESSITED!!!! We will be leaving here very soon and there are so many things I am looking forward to veiwing and witnessing today. Sexy factory bikes, pros tearing up a real supercross track, fine monster girls, sick nasty whips in practice, watching my all time favorite rider James Stewart, and I saved the best for last: Kevin Whindhams death defying transfer. This is going to be a day I will remember for the rest of my life. Safe trips to everyone else making the trip to Atlanta today.
Used to be loud as fuck in the dome back in the two-stroke days. Your ears will bleed today. Earplugs. Get some for you and the family & friends. You'll be a hero for it.

I'm going to the Atlanta SX this weekend, first time since seeing Bob Hannah at Fulton Co. stadium in 85.
Quick question for those that have been there...Are you able to get pit passes for $5 with a Monster Energy can?
Thought I remember seeing that somewhere.
Any other recommendations to enjoying the race?
Thanks for any help.
Thanks for letting me know, hopefully I can drink 12 cans of Monster Energy before the race.
My tickets show 7:00pm, anyone have an idea when the pits open up or practice/qualifying starts?
Wish the web-site would have a schedule of events.
Getting pretty psyched.
Id rather be titsited.
Pit Row
get to the pits early, it is a long line to get it. very long. and lots of walking around to get to the opening in the pits. at least it's inside.
I'm almost 2 hours North and didn't plan on being there that early but I will now.
I have no idea where any of the marta stations are at, think I should probably take my chances finding parking close-by.
Good point on leaving, think I'll look into finding a marta to park and ride from.
Any suggestions on easy access ones coming from 85N?
Definitely NOT looking forward to $6 bottles of water and $8 burgers.
Looking at the maps I think Doraville, Chamblee, or Brookhaven will be my best bets.
Just hoping for a good race, don't care who wins...As long as they're on a #5 KTM.
Appreciate all of the help/suggestions.
We went to the Chamblee marta and went right to the pit party.
Got there around 1:30 and quickly saw why everyone said "get there early".
Didn't get any autographs because the lines were out of control already but we were able to walk around and take in everything.
Went to our seats around 3:00 and got some grub which reminds me, How come they don't give you the caps from the bottles?
Opening ceremony was cool and we loved our seats, we got to see Davalos, Ciancarulo, Josh Grant, Nick Wey, Davi Millsaps, and Miss SX walk by real close.
I saw the hit on broc tickle by alessi and didn't think it was worse than the one on JS7 by CR22 a couple of years ago.
All in all it was a great day, thanks again.
#5 didn't win but at least orange did.
Hope to see you guys at the track once I sell my 2-smoke and get a 250f.
The press box was really neat - Sat next to KeithM - said "Last time I saw you, was dilla in the 70's, wrenching for Buckwheat. That got a smile, then Mitch rolled up and started shooting the shit with Keith. Cool stuff - at least for me. Saw Ralph, Jeff and Ricky in the broadcast boot, Jim Holley in the Supercross live online booth, the TV production room.
After the race went back to pits, got to talk to Martine, it was really cool, his family was there. They were all excited with him getting interviewed and all.
BEST of ALL got to see Miss SX!! Up close and say hello. Looks better in person and is as sweet as can be - class act.
Close to that was the "crowd" of dudes following the monster girls from the track back to the pits, after the race. There must have been 20 of them and NONE of them were saying a WORD, but they were a watchin the wiggles!! Gave me the giggles!
The racing was good, we had great seats, watched the heats/semi's/LCQ from seats and then hi tailed it to press box for race. Broke out the tablet for twitter feeds and live scoring and drank some brews.
Now my daughter want's to do the BTO VIP thing with JT at Muddy Creek - Yippee!! I'ved e-mailed JT already!
Looking forward to Daytona on the 8th, it will be my 1st visit there.
