Not a single thread on Weston Peick...

Qualifies out of heats consistently, beating factory riders (by the handful). Say what you want, but he outlasted, great champions tonight. 5th from lap 11, top 7 in fastest laps of the race. Fucking impressive in this field!

Why the heck is he riding a privateer bike! Honestly though, it could be a bit of a blessing in disguise for him, since being without a factory ride is making him push that much harder, and it really is showing in the results. Awesome job to him and his team, they are awesome to see in the pits and obviously are putting a ton of effort into the program! Keep it going guys.

Yeah its cool to watch….

I think weston likes his setup he has now, His bikes seems fast and looks good as he is getting SOME support from Suzuki,

People saying RCH should pick him up, I think for Weston it would make him go backwards, (time to adjust, different atmosphere etc)

Maybe next year, but switching half way through, i just don't know,

The guys awesome and a mind fuck at the same time how can a top team not hire him ! Its just getting stupid now. Fair play to the guys getting the team together for him but all the factory teams are dumb not signing this guy up imo.

I'm pretty sure every week there's a thread on Weston. He isn't being overlooked anymore.

He rode great clearly. I bet tho that a lot of team managers are not sure he can do much better in the current field.

He needs to get a couple holeshots and change their minds if he wants that big ride!

Here's a list of factory or factory supported riders whose ride he should have.

Weimer
Tickle
Hill
Hahn
Grant

Pretty sad that those guys have rides and he doesn't. Hahn I can see an argument for since he's only in his first year. The others though no way they should keep their ride over him when their contract is up.

props to weston

but pretty sure Weston said earlier this season he won't be swapping or leaving his team mid season.

I hate to rag on riders, but I can't understand how a top 10 guy like weimer or somebody who is always injured like canard get these factory rides and guys like peick are privateers? Sure canard gets good finishes when he is healthy, but there is always something wrong with the poor guy.

Ummmmmm why? When other factory riders consistently finish worse than Peick, does he need to get a holeshot? Top 5 in this field isn't good enough. You're not making any sense.

Tickle is riding busted up and had been riding very well until two rounds ago when he crashed. I do believe Weston should have had hill's ride or jakes, grants ( how long before Nicoletti replaces him?) , or a spot beside James.

I know it doesn't make sense at first glance, but this sport has a history of awarding rides to riders who have potential or seem to.

That's why Josh Grant always has a ride. Cause he can go bullshit fast at times and still shows it every now and again. His upside is he is a race winner, could he get there again?

Peick doesn't have that perception or reputation – He's a hard working privateer who a few years ago was struggling in rhythm sections, who undoubtedly has made massive gains, and is now better than ever, but if you pay him to ride your bike you're probably still gonna get 5th and he maybe isn't as marketable as a Grant/Weimer/Hill/Tickle, guys that have had prior success. etc.... but that's not what the factory team managers are shooting for.

It's maybe not fair either but hey. If he gets one that is great, I just wouldn't hold your breath. There is always another fast kid coming up at contract time. This year there are a few.

I think you will see him on an RCH bike soon. He is improving every week and they need a rider. I think if RCH picks him up they should keep him on his bike but just add in their stuff to make it better "if he likes it".
What would help him is the money to train more at the better tracks and have fresh stuff at all times.

RCH and Suzuki should start helping him out with some factory parts.....he deserves it and I really hope that he gets rewarded with a factory ride next year.

Keep it up Mr Peick...

Felt great seeing him get more racing coverage. I'd be willing to bet he'll get some stepped up support for the outdoors. THIS is where the RCH deal could make great returns. Is his current deal SX only, or does current ride include the outdoors too.

He is doing great, The only thing He needs is a little more money , no reason to go changing teams or anything.
2/2/2014 8:03am
I could be wrong but I think he has the same motor as stewart n possibly factorty suspension, but great ride!!!! so cool to c him doing better n better! give him a factorty contract! I think hes gna stay with what hes got for this season and next season im confident you ll c him under a factorty tent. any of u west coast guys know if his suspension /motor is factorty?
