How many Supercross races have you gone to

Cool thread. I was just talking to my pops about this. I'm about 99% that I've been to every Houston SX since I was born, and I'll be 30 this year... Damn I'm getting old

If not every year, it's definitely in the high 20's

Boo koo Atlanta supercross races. Seems like they were called the Mr. Pibb Superbowl of Motocross back in the late 70s. I was there in 77 and remember Jim Pomeroy having a good ride.......always liked him after watching him snag a 3rd (could have been 4th......Bad Brad wad was good too!) at Road Atlanta in the 74 Trans-AMA. I remember freezing my butt off in Fulton County Stadium just about every year. The Bomber winning when it was cold as sh$t was cool. Hannah won a bunch back then, but being in the tunnel pits after he won that cold ass mud race (82?) was way cool! Saw several in the GA Dome in the early 2000s. The coolest one was in 2001. It was the week after Dale Earnhardt died....MC wore a black helmet with a 3 (they had a big tribute to Big E before the race) and RC walked the dog.

I'm having a hard time remembering how many. I'm pretty sure I went to SF 2 times and Vegas 3 times, it could be 4 though.

Since the 1974 LA "superbowl of motocross".

With 3 Anaheim's (in recent years), San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas...

Maybe 30 or 40 or more. (after taking some time to calculate, 100 plus is more likely. but who's counting? obviously I hadn't been)

I don't know average of two or so a year since the late 80s, a couple before that, more some years less lately. Not making the grueling 2 hour drive to Oakland tomorrow because, well because it's Oakland. I miss San Francisco, something about it being right in the city was cool.

Arenacrosses, probably 20 plus. I know that wasn't the question.

I know it was super funky, and I know I'm being sentimental, but I always thought the Astrodome was a cool place to have a SX race!

98 so far, San Diego, Anaheim, LA Coliseum, Dodgers, Vegas, Pasadena, San Francisco, Atlanta. But I've watched every one ever shown on TV. A little bit addicted. This years San Diego will be #100

Considering Fla used to have several a year when I lived/raced there, 30+.

I've missed 2 since it came back to seattle in 05 but I went to the 1991, 98, and 99 supercross in the dome. Although all I remember about the 1991 race was throwing up from the exhaust fumes where I was sitting, and a big ass "Go Lance Smail" sign people were holding right next to me.

Three! A2 in 2007 and A3 and San Diego in 2009. Going to A3 and San Diego this year too

All the St. Louis rounds except last year plus A1 and San Diego this year and went to Indy one year. I think that puts me at 20. Only memories that really stick out in my mind were when Bradshaw submarined Emig in a heat race where they both crashed and when Fonseca came from last place to land on Kelly Smith and win the main.

Seattle a couple times. Phoenix 3 times. Pontiac once in the nineties. Las Vegas once for AMA final, once for Monster Cup (inaugural event), and went to the U.S. open twice (one of which was RC's first race on a Suzuki and the chain snapped) Daytona once (and went to the Daytona 200 as well).

thats it, so 8 and 3 U.S. Open/ Monster Cups. it seems like I've been to a lot more, but when ya put them on paper, it isn't that many. been to even less AMA motocross rounds.

EDIT: ya know, thinking back, I don't think it was a chain that snapped. think maybe the clutch was the problem

Oh I forgot about Daytona. Went to that race by myself in 1989, had some friends going but they backed out. You couldn't get on the infield back then but I brought my parents camera, which at the time, was super duper and when I got to the gate, walking by myself with a camera around my neck, the guard told me I was at the wrong entrance. He then proceeded to open up a gate to the infield and let me right on in. So I got to watch the race acting like I was a photographer. For most of the race I sat right next to this huge (I thought) step on step off. Was like a 2 ft jump onto a 10ft tall table and then back down to a 2 ft jump.

so far only 2. ATL 2006 & 2011

I have been to 3-5 events per year for the last 12 Years. Before that I went to several Anaheims, 1 or 2 San Diego, and several coliseum rounds.

I've been to 2 or 3 glen helen rounds of mx.

Pontiac around early or mid 2000's and 3 times at Toronto after.
Wish there would be a round in Montreal.

It's a bit hard to reach Supercross races from Italy
But I'm looking forward to get my first supercross this year @ NY cause my sister lives there!

I was lucky enough to race a majority of the sx rounds from 99-2005, except for injuries here and there. I consider it to be the time of my life. My last SX race was Orlando 2005 and I didnt make it to another round until San Diego 2013 when I did the BTO VIP Experience. I didnt want to go to an SX and not be able to go to the pits all day like when I was racing and the BTO VIP experience was the best way to do it. This year I am going to do it again at Dallas for the same reason and plus I think it goes to a good cause.

About 35 or so. Couple of Superbowl of Motocross, one Anaheim, couple at the Astrodome, five or so Atlanta, one at Jacksonville, 25 or so Daytona's starting with wins by Weinert and Karsmakers.

Probably a dozen or two between STL and Indy with a Red Bud national thrown in.

30+ ,. Went to Pontiac basically every year from the early 80's til it ended. (I was 3 or 4 for my first event)

Both Detroit rounds (05,06 right?)

Indy in 92 for the first........96 and every since 04.

Oh yeah, Daytona 3 times I think. 85, 86, 95

Raced amateur day many times at Pontiac.

Guessing more than 100, less than 200...

Interesting venues... Used to go to Pontiac a LOT in the 80's. Sometimes twice in the SAME weekend... sometimes

twice in the same season (different months, same venue...)

Went to the Cleveland one, saw Jason Bonham's band at the TAMPA round... Went to Orlando a few times, too...

My faves are Toronto, Phoenix and Indy....

Sad to say Zero.
Hope go to possibly St. Louis, Atlanta, or Dallas this year.
