The Feds are investigating the tribal executive council. The raceway is collateral damage in an internal tribal war. There were no large fines from any federal agencies. The side of the tribe that liked the track is no longer in control of enough votes to keep the track open. If it reopens it will be a miracle.

This has nothing to do with Pala currently being closed.

Great race by Dean. Having Dungey and Roczen all over him for 15 laps wasn't easy. He's got the speed. In 2013 Roczen had a similar race, was up front early and ended up 7th. It's a good indicator for where your speed is.

In my opinion Pala Raceway's existence revitalized San Diego Counties ridding community. You already heard from Greg. But things sound good from What Jack had to say. Just going through the bearocracy of California permitting process. It's taking longer than expected but they are moving forward.

Also the dirt piles are contained due to California Storm Water Prevention Laws. So the good dirt isn't washing away. Not sure how it is in Dallas, but in California you can't move dirt without silt fences and straw waddles around your dirt piles.

Most dirt in Southern California is clay based. So we get hard pack tracks. A sandy track is going to break down even quicker. The Dirt Wurx guys do a great job building 16 tracks in 18 weeks. There's no official photo vendor or page where practice photos are posted. A lot of times during the week it's just photo g's out taking photos for their own use. Next time go up to the photographer and ask where they post or get an email and they might send them to you.

Hahahahaha Dean was closing the gap on Seely 3/10th of a second a lap before he crashed. The track was slick and pushing on it caused Seely to crash. Dean doesn't slack or just cruise around. He set the fastest lap of the day. Kirk

From what I've read when there is a live basketball game scheduled on Fox Sports 1 before the SX the 250s run first just in case the basketball game goes into overtime and it delays the start of the race broadcast. 450s heats are more important than 250 heats. But apparently both are less important than NCAA Basketball.
