SinJin called in asking what 2 stroke he should get, DV said unless you can get a factory KTM, get a japanese bike.

Whilst I don't agree, I love DV. He's funny as fuck.

The KTMs are no good?

KR is leaving in '15?

Oh, let's not forget...RD's bike set-up is no good, right?

Oh, and, those Air Shocks suck, too?

Cool. I got it now. I guess the bike I've been riding is crap.

Yup, I'm gonna go with the Inter-Web kooks & French-non-current-KTM-riding-dudes; 'cause, their wisdom defies my reality.

Got it.

Riders change teams all the time bro....

DV's chubbyness offsets his ability to recommend a moto machine to anyone.

I don't understand why everyone thinks anybody who even hints to Roczen leaving RB and KTM next year gets branded as a total fawking idiot. I realize his ties to RB and KTM are deep, but to say that it is impossible and call people idiots and thickly stupid is a bit unfair don't you think? What he does and who he hangs out with (recent months) in his personal life leaves the door open just enough for speculation.

Ah I see, if a rider leaves a team for another team it is just business and they found a nice new contract...BUT if they leave KTM for another company then it's because the bike was a pile of shit and they just couldn't get by without a Japanese bike. Simply stunning...

He is saying that a "KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION" - Is on the same level as Default Japanese MX bike - Not a Homolgated special edition !

THe KTM FACTORY EDITION is limited units to qualify for production rule - So if you cannot get one just get a Japanese bike they are all Homologated and Factory Edition level Ready !

Uh.... wow.... A lot being taken out of context here. DV was specifically referring to 2-strokes when a caller asked what 2-stroke he should buy. Most of it centered around the mid-late 2000s 2-strokes and the guys in the studio (especially DV) said to go with a Yamaha.

the 2013 standard model ktm is virtually identical to the 2012 'factory edition' so cant say i agree with that! (the 2014 is pretty much the same bike too)

and regarding the 2 strokes- the yams are GREAT bikes, but sadly since they stopped developing them around 2006 the ktms have been getting better. The later model ktm 2 smokers are way better than the yam / suzukis! (the yellow and blue bikes are still great bikes)

you have to take alot of what some of the ex pro riders say with a pinch of salt- most (if not all) of them are still sponsored in some capacity by their former employers...

ktm are putting alot more money into motocross than the jap manufacturers, the gap will only get bigger in my opinion. KTM is the new honda

Dude the new factory edition is not the same bike as the regular 450 this year. the frame is different, the shock is new, the forks are new, the geometry is different, lots of changes that only come on the factory edition. its also two pounds lighter. I'm sure it will all be like that on the 15 regular 450sxf.
