I'd explain why it is discrediting Dungey's title, but since your vocabulary seems to be limited to about 90 words, I'll spare myself the waste of time.
Maybe if you'd stop inflating the Dunge way beyond where he actually is (pretty awesome), people wouldn't have to keep putting him back where he belongs(still awesome)

Dungey is Dungey, he'll always be there and even get some wins here and there. but with RV healthy and in the mix, it's a hope and a prayer for a championship.

13 wins versus 35.

Here's a clue: You don't.

So why not respect the rider that earned the title instead of handing them out to those who didn't?

Too much disrespect to a guy who could make you look stupid on a track.

No matter what happened in 2010, RV has had Dungeys number ever since. I don't think Peelout has anything against Dungey.
RV has been faster, no doubt. If you read my post history you can gather that I have had high praise for Villopoto. But when you have these pillocks saying that Villopoto would have won in 2010 when they have no idea how the season would have played out, it is discrediting what Dungey did in 2010.

And in the same breath you say Dungey would have won without a DNF when you have no idea how the season would have played out... how's that work?

To be fair, if we are talking about 2011 outdoor title, Dungey would have won without a DNF. It is possible things could have gone different. Maybe RV woulda tried to clean Dungey out since he is that kind of rider, yeah I said it. But all things being equal, Dungey takes that title.

In my opinion, the 2011 outdoor DNF argument is more valid than Villos 2010 SX DNF argument, simply because there were more unknown variables in the 2010 SX season and Villopoto was behind Dungey all year in points.

Harsh, bro.

Me, I don't actually think Dungey's waiting for RV to crash. I don't think he enjoys all the talk for the last three years, all the shit that's written in forums like this one by people like me and you (not to mention people who actually know what they're talking about). I don't think he took a deep breath after outdoors, where he finished behind Villopoto 18 times, and said, "OK, it didn't work this season, or in supercross. Or even once out of the six opportunities in the last 3 years (against RV). But it'll work this time!"

You can be really fast and wild, like Stewart. You can be really fast and in control, like Dungey. Neither of them have even been runner-up indoors the last 3 years. But to be all three? Well, there's only one Villopoto.

Just like there was only one Carmichael.

But Brayton? Come on!

Yes, RD looked poor in the whoops. Yes, he'd probably be slightly better on a Suzuki. No, it wouldn't amount to much.

Dungey, outdoors: 6 moto wins in 2011 (should've been 7), 5 in 2013 (could've been 6). Not terribly incriminating if you're Dungey's motorcycle.

Dungey could have broke his leg or any other possibility... glad he didn't but you get the idea.

He's talking '11 outdoors. I don't think he was going to break his leg with one turn to go at Freestone or whatever. I know being in the points lead can put more pressure on a rider and thus lead to mistakes, but as arguments based on hypothetical situations go that's a pretty weak one.

As far as 2011 supercross is concerned, if we're talking what-ifs, then, like I said, the thing was Reed's all the way.

BTW, here's what would've had to happen for Villopoto to beat Dungey in SX'10, had he not wrecked. This is pretty much the least he could've done and still have walked away champ:

Hold off Dungey for 1st at StL

gotten 3rd at Seattle to Dungey's 5th (remember Dungey fell)

gotten 4th at SLC to Dungey's 5th (Dungey was lapped by Windham)

and won Vegas with RD in 2nd, he would've tied Dungey in points and won the championship with the tie-breaker.

...that's at least one scenario. If he could only manage 2nd to Dungey at Vegas, then he'd need to do better at the previous two rounds. haha

It's an "If," but not an unbelievably big one, since rv was the more experienced and had the momentum.

I didnt read all the comments on this because i dont want to waste my time with reading people going back n' forth due to personel issues (even if there arent any, there usually is......sorry if someone already said this) but i think that yea maybe they're paying more attention to KROC because he just came up and won his first night show on a 450 Ive liked roczen from the first time Ive seen him race but this will settle down by the end of the season and they (ktm) will be repin both of them (ken and Ryan)equally and Ryan will be happy again (since he looks sooooo unhappy lol)

I think there is enough evidence now for even the most loyal and diehard Dungey fans to warrant re-adjusting their expectations out of Dungey. I can remember dudes hailing him as the new MC when he came out and stomped his first 450 title, you weren't allowed to use the D word (depth) without breaking Dungetard hearts and being witch hunted. He was almost over hyped. Dunge is a bad ass clearly, RV is just a tick better... Time will tell where Roczen, Barcia and Tomac slot in to the pecking order too.

Le Cobra said this about the Dunge @ Pheonix...

"Gotta to talk about Dungey and ask everyone this question… How can RD, who started in second behind Brayton, stay 20 laps behind him without making a move? I didn't understand that part of the race..."

Dungys the smartest guy out there, that's why he's so consistent, I used to call him captain 3rd place but anymore

I always picture Dungey a great fit at Honda...........not sure why, and not like it would change anything, he just seems to display everything they look for in a rider, clean cut, polite, and right in the thick of things.

I agree would be sick to see Dunge on a Honda, maybe Barcia will ride him a little cleaner Tongue

Although, if Dungey were on any other bike I dont think he would have to worry about Barcia too much to be honest. If I were Dungey, honestly I would get out of KTM the bike just doesnt ride like that Suzuki did and we can all see it, just like malachi said.

I know, because DV never started behind someone and finished behind them before.

My take on it is that Brayton was really fast that night. Why discredit Brayton here? He kept up with Ryan Villopoto so it's not like he was just loafing around the track.

Because if Dungey is as great as some of his fans would have us believe, he would have passed Brayton, like RV did, and walked away.

DV is an experienced racer and smart man, you, apparently, are not, or are just blinded by RD's hairy beanbag. Laughing Tongue

KTm was a big piece of shit before Dungey came along and he turned that bike into one nearly as good as the Kawasaki. Its the fucking bike dudes... RV is lucky to always have the best bike every year. RD has had insane amount of mechanicals in his career compared to lucky charms on his four leaf clover. Lucky charms is due for another big one. Kinda like how cali is due for another big one.

Dungey's game in championships is play it relatively safe up until mid season and then start risking more if need be. Its the smartest strategy and it would work if he were at Kawi where a bike never comes close to failing.

How about that bullshit airshock ktm laugh fest last year, cruising around like a lowrider. Never see that type of shit at Kawi. And Ryan was sabotaged at Suzuki in 2011.

How about all the idiots claiming Barcia would mop the floor with Dungey when he moved up to 450? Where are those clowns now? JB is no match for RD. JS has been a laughing stock the last few years as well, as has Reed, compared to their previous success.

Season is a LONG way from over Dungey could easily win another championship lets just see. And it would be fitting if it happened this year with the "most stacked field ever" even though they say that shit every year per the hype machine.

And about DeCoster, hes kinda turned into an old fart wind bag, sure he was great 100 years ago when jumps or suspension werent invented yet, but I think his broken english doesnt come accross very well sometimes when hes talking crap about his rider when he should be defending him.

And would someone please give firecrotch a pot 'o' gold and rainbows so he can cheer up. Even after he wins the look on his face is as if his dog just died...

Who sabotaged Ryan at Suzuki?

Probably the top Japanese brass who were pissed RD and RD decided to leave. I blame decoster, he SOLD OUT when he probably didnt have to. Probably has to do with the fact he is european as is ktm... RDy would probably be better off now if both him and RD had stayed at Suzuki and kept the best crew. But I dunno. I guess suzuki is to blame for not coming up with enough money but that doesnt really make sense that suzuki would all of a sudden be having money problems. i bet roger was getting paid fine but he got a lil greedy when red bull ktm empire offered him big bucks and his own tinker shop.

Overall the rds have worked fine at KTM but im sure they are a notch back from where they were at suzuki on top of their game. plus a yellow bike just plain looks better. get rid of that damn orange. ktm would be better white. Vanilla just like Dungey.

Kent is right. Dungey single handedly turned the KTM machine into a winner while Roger "THE MAN" Decoster was out mall walking, staring at his old VCR blinking 12:00 and getting his prescriptions refilled. Blink
