You rocked SX already this year with one of the most incredible holeshots ever, and then made the right moves to hold off Villopolo in your heat. Get out of your head, nail the throttle and do what you're capable of doing, Win!!

Mike Alessi will make the podium this year in sx. Use basic logic if you can lead 6 Laps of a heat race hold off and then cause the sx champ to goon out and stall his bike and crash( over riding the track) and beat the rest racers by a fair margin combined with his improved whoop speed it's very likely you can assume he will maintain the same level to win or be on the podium.

Podium...LOL. His upside is P8. You are delusional. The only way he podiums is if Jeff lazes the following (assume RV and JS go 1-2):

Dungey
Brayton
Tickle
Reed
Hahn
Wey
Short
Peick
Barcia
Roczen
Moss

MA is a P8-P13 guy.... Go look at lap times. He BEST lap time is slower than the AVERAGE lap time of 8 riders....

Do you think he could improve his position with a new setup? Reading how bad his set up was, I'd give him a better chance now than before.

That means a guy who has never been an SX guy is going to have to beat Min 5 SX champions. That last .5 s a lap to get to that level is 10x as hard as the first 1.5s. Have you ever even raced anything? He has a better chance. That chance is still incredibly small..like .05%...

hahaha that was funny...kind of reminds me of playing news reporter when I was a kid.... That is Not mikes wife.....I am going to say that is probably a family member of Genova or something and I dig the Smart Top microphone......the recap is cool...but maybe eliminate the fake " interview" part and do it solo ala Stewart???

A
6 lap heat race is an entirely different thing than a 20 lap (points paying) main event. Unless the top 12 guys get injured, Mike's not getting a podium.

And I 100% agree with whoever said they should do their weekly recaps like Stewarts. This "fake interview" thing is pathetic yet hilarious at the same time.

Anybody else notice how the girl asks mike "so you got a 6th in the heat and advanced to the semi where you went FROM 7th to 3rd…" Then mike says "after the heat we made some bike changes and felt a lot better, but I got a horrible start in the semi where I went FROM AT LEAST 12th and finished 3rd."

You'd think for something like this where the interviewer and the interviewee are both working for the same team, they would get their stories straight
