#33 Added a reply to Who's the Kawasaki rider with Steve McQueen?
1/23/2014 7:25am I started my research with McQueen, when did he get hippized. It was around '72-'73, the movie he did with his future wife, I think it's called The Getaway. I checked out the different Kaw riders of that period, a couple already mentioned here, plus Jim Cook and Thorlief Hanson, even Lackey, but that's obviously not him. A lot of...

1/13/2014 10:01am You rocked SX already this year with one of the most incredible holeshots ever, and then made the right moves to hold off Villopolo in your heat. Get out of your head, nail the throttle and do what you're capable of doing, Win!!

1/12/2014 2:58pm The JT rock deflector hanging over the chair in my profile pic is the reason for this topic. I've been a fan of the music of Lynyrd Skynyrd since they surfaced in the '70's. So I had written Lynyrd Skynyrd in white letters on the back of the chest protector. Sometime in the 80's, Denny Swartz, myself and other Vet...

#33 Added a reply to MXA Look back at 1981 -- Gear prices were crazy!
1/12/2014 2:29pm my profile pic shows remnants of racing AMA District 11 (Southeastern Ohio). I wore those Gaerne's forever, had'um re-soled twice. No protection but damn comfortable. Finally broke down and bought the latest greatest Tech 8's sometime in the 90's. I ended up crushing my left foot at Honda Hills and had to hang it up. I was 44. I miss...

1/27/2012 10:29am I'm new here. Raced MX for quite a few years in District 11, ended living just 5 miles from Honda Hills and became good friends with Flat-Track Champion and track owner, Dick Klamforth. He even started putting me to work prepping the track the day before a race. I raced the Vet class for a number of years too, usually...

#33 Started a new thread What is a noob thread?
1/24/2012 7:30pm I think the scar tissue on my brain is having an effect on my comprehension. So would someone help me out and tell me what a "complete noob thread" is? If I plan on hangin' out here, I gotta talk the talk I suppose. Thanks!

#33 Added a reply to Thank you for watching “The Motocross Filesâ€
1/12/2009 12:50pm I really enjoyed The MX Files on Joel Robert and the O Show Sunday. One of the best programs on SpeedTV besides the MX/SX coverage. After all these years, you brought out things about Joel that I had never heard before, and it just increased my respect for him.

1/12/2009 12:44pm you gotta excuse me Slow-Pro but I'm not sure what a Complete noob thread is. maybe one to many concussions is my excuse for not knowing the lingo. And I play music in a band but we don't have a wagon. just a big old ford econoline with an exhaust leak. Sorry for my ignorance!

1/12/2009 5:41am How deep is the snow in Chardon? I have come thru your town several times, hauling salt from Fairport Harbor (Morton Salt) down to central and southeastern Ohio. I went thru once and the homeowners along the route had tunnels thru the snow into their houses. That's alot of snow!!

1/12/2009 5:31am That would be Swartzie alright! Were you at the race FormerPartsGod? I guess Denny's been racing the Vintage class on the Maico and was at Red Bud this year. Wish I still had my '84 CR500, it would be vintage now. Only a head resurfacing and 109 octane fuel would cure it's detontation. We had a rider in the Vet...
