about his SX records?
35 wins and 3 C'ships and I think he will add to both #'s this year and he's only 25 yrs old. JM won his 4th C'ship at 26 yrs old.

I have to ask, do you post this to provoke a hate thread towards RV?

I mean, you can't be serious! Not at least if you're paying attention to all the info we have about the riders in this day and age!

RV doesn't care about MC's records and has basically said he's out in a few years.

I still think it's a little early to be comparing RV to McGrath, but he certainly is a Rider who deserves the respect of being spoken about in the same breath as Jeremy McGrath and Ricky Carmichael. I think last night served notice that even in a field as deep as the 450 class is this year, he's a special type of Champion that is going be tough to beat for at least another couple years until age starts to catch up to him. He's clearly the fastest guy out there and his competitions only hope is if he messes up and has an injury, other than that RV's the MAN and to be the MAN ya gotta beat the MAN and nobody is there yet.

This is a really stupid thread.

RV is expected to retire after next season, (contract ends) no matter if he won every supercross race he entered until then, he still wouldn't beat MC's win record.

I haven't seen the other threads you guys are talking about, but it seems like a fair enough question to me..?

But as for the answer, it seems like RV's stated pretty clearly that he plans to hang em up relatively soon here.

If RV sticks to his game plan ( which he has mentioned a bunch of times ) he's done racing MX at the end of 2015.....next year. So beating MC's record would be impossible. BUT.....in O/A victories in SX and MX combined......I can it's possible to try and be 2nd all time behind the goat. I think he is still quite a ways behind guys like James for now........but look at the amount of time it's taken RV to get there.

Incredible career so far.....wouldn't you say?
