We'll see what they're able to do with it. Track looks fun tho. I'm sure most of what they do will just be releasing the stuff that THQ didn't. The stuff that Peely saw in Vegas.

Hope that's an alpha build....

heck it out, the old bike dropping instantly and the awkward shit looking physics in the Whoops look like they are returning. Two of the biggest let downs of Alive.

The bike in that vid looks like it is on the perfect trajectory to hit the down ramp put of the section then just drops suddenly into the face of the last jump.

Also talk about track scale in Alive being better? that looked like a giant on a mini bike with the track still looking way to small.

and seriously who mono's through whoops like that! The skimming of the whoops in Reflex was ten times better.

My thoughts exactly. The graphics look decent, but it looks like the same horrible physics from alive Sad

Also just noticed the crappy spring and clutch symbols on the lower right hand side of the video.

Sucks that i will still buy it though! My dreams of a updated Reflex have been shattered lol

It's all about the lame ass preload...that's why guys try and wheely EVERYTHING.....you can case anything...as long as you pull back/preload everywhere...you can go through whoops and weird stuff, faster, all by preloading the stick everywhere.

Looks exactly like Alive again so far. Like aaryn said looks like you just pop straight up and drop down. Hopefully this is basically just Alive playing a track that was going to come out and not the direction of the game.

Guys, does everyone truly realize what all Nordic has done since buying this franchise less than a year ago? They have not only sorted thru all the old IP but also formed a team of some of the best of the old MX vs ATV team AND opened a studio which includes getting all the gear up and running. Needless to say they have already done a lot already and the team will be working on the Supercross game very hard I am sure. I am not affiliated with the team in any way but I do know they are working hard to make it the best yet. But it will require some patience. so lets be glad the franchise is back and give them some support and hope we all get the realistic Supercross experience we all desire.

Yep that is awesome, but if they bring out a version of Alive with just SX track, going by all the posts across the shares of the video that was posted on FB, they will soon be shutting all those doors again! Well at least be scrapping a MX/SX game in the future due to a lack of sales of the game.

In my opinion of course, I could be wrong.

Hopefully the guys at Nordic games follow all of the comments that are being posted not just hear but across the board.

Someone posted the Reflex outsold Alive, I have no idea if this is true or not, but if so that should be the first indicator of which of the two games the new one should be more based around.

I'm happy that someone is continuing the franchise, but the step backwards from Reflex to Alive makes no sense.

Reflex launched forward by MILES with track deformation, making every race different, not to mention the best gameplay and physics to be seen(weighing outside peg etc) and carrying speed after landing from a high speed jump. I'll buy this new game but Reflex will standalone as the best MX game until its characteristics are brought back

Reflex outsold Alive because THQ shut down the Phoenix studio before the games DLC SX stuff could be released. And that was a large amount of what the game was hinged on. DLC.

In my opinion, the JS7 stuff in Alive is far and away superior to anything in Reflex. With that being said, I don't like any other tracks in Alive. The rest of the tracks pretty much are stinkers including the small arenacross type SX tracks.

I am hoping for something far superior to BOTH games. With a full season points series with heats, lcqs and 20 lap mains in the season mode and 17 SX tracks. Alive nor Reflex had neither and that is a huge downfall to those games.

I'm not a MVA fanboy. I have probably been more critical than anyone of the series over the years with their lack of points series, lack of license, lack of realistic scale (until Alive), flaoty physics, etc. However I have communicated with a head person at Nordic for quite a while now as well as someone at the new studio and think this series is in good hands now for us, the Supercross fans. The JS7 is the benchmark.

I can't wait for Supercross and for MXGP, which with its replica tracks, license and points series looks amazing. Super excited for both.

Looks like he's doing a free ride on the SX track judging by the "Long Jump" in the top right. Looks good, and IMO is exactly what I think they should have done. Business wise, it makes more sense to pump out the SX for Alive they had acquired from THQ, get some $$ rolling in with that, THEN work on building a new game.

reflex outsold live BECAUSE they went with DLC and shitty physics. Why do you think they shutdown or didn't make any money. Sales of alive were stagnant from teh git go...never even come close to touching reflex numbers out of the gate and that was mainly because everything was DLC model which is absolutely horrible idea and greedy business model. consumers don't go for it and everything fails.

reflex physics to this day are far superior and everyone knows it. I'm guessin the new guys will try to get back to it otherwise this franchise is doomed.

mx sim is still far superior but its not user friendly...but once you get it figured out, even reflex can't touch it no matter how well they develop it.

FYI That footage is like 2 yrs old. It's in the other thread.

It is in the other thread because it was posted from a video that Vital posted today on Instagram and facebook.

Nordic could quite easily get everyone who purchased Alive in their good books well before the new game comes out very simply.

Make any tracks that were created as DLC for Alive that never seen the day of light available for free ASAP.

They might be good they may suck, but it will give people a chance to fire up the MX V ATV franchise game again on their PS3's and Xbox's and get people back thinking about and playing the game.

x2

This new game is obv. working off of the alive platform, open up the Depot and supply some SX tracks that should've been out before.

Give it a bit. Also, listen in after a bit when I check in with Mike to get some idea on the direction of where they're headed.

One thing interesting that I learned about Nordic Games is that they like porting them to all platforms, including Mac and PC.

hopefully it all pans out.

people with really high desires for what their first release are going to be really disappointed. They're not rebuilding a game from the ground up- and it's being made at DLC level scale. tank all this 17 rounds, plus nationals and a career mode stuff. i'm expecting very little but i'll be getting it because i'm diehard for mx games. even if they aren't that good i'll get more time out of them than the newest COD incarnation.

Up on the home page now, sounds like Nordic are going about things perfectly. Releasing essentially a Supercross track pack for Alive for now but are working on a brand new game for the series for release around 2015.

The game will look at taking all the best parts from all the original games in the series and bring the flow back.

Sounds Good to me.
