Yep Nine if Millsaps and Canard get back to full fitness which is probable. Chuck Josh Hill in there as a while card so possibly 10.

I will say 6 or 7 winners. With 3 of those in the first list.

Top dogs in order if CR shows up comfortable.
RV
CR
JS
RD (Albeit I think he will struggle heads up against the top 3 IMO in shear speed)

Proven to have it on the night and depending on fitness etc can run up front no problems.

DV
TC
JB

Unknowns but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they were competitive straight away. Both awesome talents although I think ET might struggle a little bit more indoors on a 450 due to his aggressive style on the bike. Might cost him the few tenths on the slicker tracks he needs to be right at the top week in week out. However come a rutty/muddy race his ability to man handle a bike will pay dividends.

i cant understand why people always doubt dungey so much?! he's been a top 2 guy every year- just because he has a smoother more calculated style than RV doesnt mean he cant run the pace!

regarding the last 2- i would be very surprised if tomac and roczen didnt win at least one round each this year. I know its unusual for a 'rookie' to do it in the big class, but those 2 are talents that only come along every 10 years or so in my opinion- they will win races indoors and out if they both stay healthy in 2014

I don't know how many there will be, but I would not be surprised to see RV, Stewart and Dungey win. I don't think Roczen or Tomac will take any wins, and I guess we'll see how Barcia has progressed in the off season. But the more winners the better. Smile

I don't understand why year after year, people think Dungey will be out of the top three. In terms of speed, it has usually been him and RV ahead of everyone else with the exception of a lap or two from Stewart.

Reed won't be top three even if he's comfortable on the bike so I wasn't too impressed with lowlander's predictions. I think like a lot of the predictions here, they are based more on bias than anything else because statistically speaking, the best bets are RV and Dungey as the top guys.

Stewart is there as well, but no rider has won a title after not having a title for more than three seasons, and Stewart's had huge problems with putting together a full and consistent season since his winning days in 2007-2009.

I'm going to go ahead and predict DV's fitness is going to be the major reason he doesn't pick up a win this year. That, and the whole retirement thing.

I'm with you with not seeing why some are so quick to write Dungey off of the winners edge. Dungey getting 3-4 wins wouldn't surprise me at all. Him getting only one win would surprise. I think Roczen could be the secret sauce to Dungey finding an extra level of aggression. He's not going to want Ken finishing in front of him.

Concerning Roczen and Tomac I wouldn't be surprised if one of them gets a win this season. I'd be more surprised if they both get a win this season.

Just hope the rest can stay healthy and the others heal up.
