Used to be 40 bucks max for any seat. Now I'm seeing tickets that cost 200+ being sold by Ticketmaster.

I have a buddy with a theatre in his house. I grab a 12 pack on the way over and enjoy the races from the comfort of a rocker. I have to admit that I feel like I miss out on some of the environment things but for the price, it just isn't worth it to me. And the prices won't come down until enough people decide the experience isn't worth the price.

It is a lot of fun to go to the races though. If I didn't have a wife in nursing school and in school myself, I'd probably bite the bullet but I don't sweat it as it is now.

why is gas so expensive I use to pay .89 a gallon for premium, now regular is $2.89

Must have gone up to help the riders(excluding the chosen ) earn enough to make a living racing and taking huge risks every weekend in front of huge crowds.

"the chosen" ? If the chosen you are referring to are the guys like RV,Canard,Stewart etc etc they were not chosen they went out and stomped the shit out of all the other riders standing in between them and being the best and earned their way to the big money $$

Have purses gone up by however much the ticket prices were raised by? If so, I don't have a problem with that. But the money is probably going straight to Feld.

It has not been below $3.00 a gallon here for years. It would be $3.25.- $3.50 range but now has dropped to the $2.89 range for a few weeks now, I hope it lasts.

It was $3.07 here in Fort Worth yesterday. I can't get out of my driveway right now to go confirm the price but I imagine it is within a $.10 swing of the $3.07 price from yesterday.

$2.82 today in minnesota . Cheapest I've seen in a while
And with the SX ticket prices it makes me 2nd guess going when
I use to jump at the chance
I went to minneapolis last yr
With family food parking
Spent around $200
But that's a lot to me !

I'd prob go again but with a buddy or somethin so I just have to pay for myself

Pick your event wisely--skip Anaheim, go to San Diego for much less, skip Dallas, go to Houston for half the price. Did both for the 2013 season

I've always paid $35-$45 plus fees, even last year for ATL. I always get them ASAP and through Ticketmaster and it's usually around $110 for 2 tickets for me and the wife. I didn't get them this year since the wife will be about 7 months pregnant come Feb. First time I've missed ATL in nearly 10 years The REAL problem is these fuckin' ticket hubs like StubHub that buy up all the good seats then re-sell them for 4x face value. I think next year I'm gonna buy $30k worth of tickets and just post them up on ATL Craigslist for my cost just to fuck with them. Assholes.

i dunno, it's the first time they're coming to the northeast that i can remember and i bought them for face when they went on sale.

it wasn't too expensive- particularly compared to nfl games at the same location.

the money has to come from somewhere, i still feel like i'm going to get a pretty unique experience for what i'm spending for the NY round.

Whats ironic is that you could probably sell that same ticket for $100 now.

Bought my A1 ticket with pit pass included for $100 and that was cheap seats. Thought that was kinda steep but some buddies and I are making a trip out of it.
Honestly I wouldn't mind paying a high ticket price if I knew it was going back to the riders.

I checked on A1 and a decent seat was $124.00 each, that's unreal IMO, since the purses haven't increased for the riders. If that was the case I wouldn't blink an eye to go but since the only purse that's getting filled is Dave Prater and the rest of feld, I'll be watching on my samsung at home BBQ-ing.
