Bummer x2.

Classy redhead, Newmann approved. My wife would creep the pits stalking Rick Johnson while I stalked Erin. Flat footed on the long travel Elsinore.....those legs. Smile

Big bummer! Very classy lady, in and out of the stadium. But, she'll do well wherever she chooses to go.

Wonder who'll replace her? DD? Georgia Alberston? (I hope the latter...)

3/4 of the TV crew will be different.
go read what Ken Hudgens said last week on Racer X.
Bummer to see her go, see's very in tune with what's going on.
I'd love to get that gig but I'm sure they'll want a female.
Good luck Erin, I bet we see you on TV again in mid-Feb...

Maybe they could bring Cameron Steel back for commentating. Not trying to bash anyone here, but the commentating for the races sort of lacks the excitement that the older commentators had.

anyone but that Rutledge Wood douche.

We should be happy for Erin. She's probably moving on to greener pastures.

Very nice person. Which is saying something considering most girls with her looks arent that nice.

I was at the Starbucks near Glen Helen one morning and this FINE women was standing in front of me (the line was long) and we started talking. It was a free flowing conversation and we talked easily as the line moved forward. As we approached the counter I asked her name........Erin Bates was her answer.

Dunno if Feld could talk him into it or pay him enough.

He's waaaaay happier doing the Lucas stuff, playing in Baja & doing the occasional X-Games gig.

Damn, not trying to sound weird or anything, but I just like his style of commentating. Was it Todd Harris that used to damn near scream into the microphone when the racing got good? Now that there will get you amped to watch some racing!Woohoo

Cam's knowledge and experience would be cool, too...but...he's moved on. In-fact, I think Erin is moving on in the same direction.
