what no dungey? LOL ... Dungey will never get settings from the euro KTM guys. We don't really know how dungey rode because the TV never showed him!

Team Puerto Rico should not exist OR only send riders who are actually from Puerto Rico.

Its total BULLSHIT that some American riders get to ride for a fake team.

Its like if New Zealand made " Team Fiji Islands" or Australia made "Team Tasmania"

Dude, are you a Kiwi? You should know Fiji has no relations with NZ. Its run by a nut case dictator.

There is no age limit for MX2 so why not send Villopoto, Dungey and Tomac and throw one back on a 250F, it is not like those smaller bikes are really any slower in a straight line, especially the Dixon Yamaha!

no they dont, Fiji has its own currency, (Fiji Dollar) , and their own passports, it is more like Cuba is to the USA

the example you are looking for is the Cook Islands, they use the NZ $, and NZ passports,

and we struggle to send one team, no way we could afford to send to,

Western Samoa is a country, the other Island called American Samoa has a relationship with the USA similar to Puerto Rico,

My Dreamteam would be:

Mx1 Villopoto

Mx 2 Tomac (i know he rides a 450 then, still has to step down to help the team)

Mx 3 "whoever is best when picking the team and a team player". Stewart? Barcia deserves a spot, Dungey, Canard, Maybe Bagget on a 450?

My guess is there wont be a 2014 team USA... Absolute disaster for the event and MX in general!
For sure RV wont go to a "sandy" eurotrack after seeing what Herlings, Cairoli and Roczen did to the world in Lommel.

Please, RV, prove me wrong...

Villopoto, Dungey, Tomac. Hard to beat that team and Dungey has to come good eventually in this event. Hell, he won motos in 2009 and 2010. Was strong in 2011 too.

Are you for real with this post haha you have no idea how any of these riders will perform in 2014 ok villopoto maybe a certainty but what if tomac just has an ok season on the 450 or if any of the other american riders really step it up ! Not much point to this post tbh.

He is from Ecuador.

As for Puerto Rico being a second US team why not have Team Guam as the 3rd US teamEvil

A little early. I don't think there's much chance of Tomac stepping down to 250 though. There's going to be a log jam in 450s if everyone is healthy and wants to go.

MX1 - RV2 - this pick speaks for it self.

MX2 - MA800 - If indeed he is still planning on returning to the 250 class for 2014 and can win the title. (The man may not like that - but I would like to see him on the team at least once, especially if he can win the outdoor lite's title.)

MX3 - JS7 - if he can get top 2 in points at the end of the outdoor season.

Did you not see RV ride southwick this year?? From 2 crashes on lap 1 in moto 1, to finishing 2 seconds off the lead in 4th. Then DOMINATING the 2nd moto. I think he'd be glad to race in the sand. Dude lives in florida. Plus that race isnt as sandy as lommel, look it up.

I don't care how good RV did at Southwick...he will get OWNED by Herlings and Cairoli on the sand. It won't be as bad if the track isn't as sandy as lommel...but I still think AC and JH are the absolute BEST in the world in the sand.

Doesn't matter who USA sends next year...AC, and JH will dominate the moto's...team USA still has a good chance of winning (because we have three solid riders) baring no disasters (i.e. tomacs crash and Barcias crash)...but we won't win any motos.

On the topic...I think America should send as many of our riders as we can...send Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam and any other territories we might have stashed away some place in the world. I say we can as many Americans in the MXdN as possible. But don't send privateers...send as many factory riders as we possibly can...lets make the MXdN a REAL America vs the rest of the world race...rather than the rest of the world against our three. I'm on board...who do I need to talk to about funding a team Guam at next years MXdN? Smile

Yeah those 2 are fast in the sand, but I still think RV could go over there and clean house. Guess we wont know till next year but I would put my money on him.

Yes, and even worse, they see nothing wrong with it.

2014 team? that's if they turn up at all! after losing 2 mxdns in a row and the next one being at a sand track (awesome track by the way) - I wouldn't be surprised if the usa didn't even send a team next year! (like lierop in 2004)

I'm not sure if many riders will be all that anxious to go, that's for sure. Dungey has got to be a little gun shy at this point (considering he's been crucified for his past two performances)...RV would rather leave the debate open that he's the best, than show up at a sand track, in Europe, with a very GOOD possibility that he'll get beat by AC and JH...thereby settling the debate once and for all (not much upside for him at all in terms of the value of his personal "stock").

I predict that all of the major players in America will come up with some reason they can't go...we'll send a "B" team (like an Alessi, Weimer, Webb team), that isn't expected to win...so if they do, its a big deal and we vitards can talk crap on the Euro's because our B team beat them...and if they lose...then who cares...they were the B team...they were supposed to lose.

I hope I'm wrong...hopefully we can send the two best American 450 riders and the top American 250 rider...give it our all...and let the chips fall where they may.

Well that was a pretty dignified response! Smile

Tomac was incredible in that first moto, got to admit I was rooting for Kenny but it was a shame he crashed. Their 2nd moto was epic huh!
