On my local craigslist there is a man supposedly selling Broc Hepler's old practice bike. its a 2006 RM-Z 250. the bike still has a black frame,#60 One ind. number plates, Suzuki clutch cover and Showa RG3 stickers on the forks. He says it has the factory suspension and factory motor and the title also has broc hepler's name on the title. I was curious what you guys think it'll be worth and if its worth buying.
also I only plan to take this to my local track and to go trail riding with it occasionally.
thanks
this is his ad:
"2006 rmz 250. Broc heplers old bike. Have title to prove it. Factory motor and suspension with powder coated black frame. Fastest 250 I have ever rode. Still has heplers number plates etc. just replaced rear tire (with two more spares), front fork seals, water pump seal, and handlebars. Bike is ready to race and needs nothing. I have only trail rode this bike"

Cool bike, cool story, horrible year, $2000.

I was a fan but as far as being in good condition I could see how it could be . Broc was pretty much always hurt it prob didn't get much use .
I'm not trying to be a smart ass but what was bad about the 06 ?
And did it get better in 07 08 ?
Just curious because I've seen some good deals on some low hour ones as well.
"If it is an 06 its not mine because Suzuki made me give my 06's back since I left for Yamaha"
"He could have the years wrong but it doesn't have the correct wheels or graphics and it would have to be an 04 or 05"
Broc would have had bought it. Factories don;t make you register your bikes,
Wasn't a strong platform
saw this RM 250 on CL: http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/mcy/4021552012.html Just needs better graphics and backgrounds.... #4 is played out, unless you go for the full on RC factory look--- good foundation for a solid build.
Might be a sweet ride, if the ad is true; A-kit, PC motor, etc
--- i would offer 4k cash, and go from there. 04+ are sweet
Unless I had an abundance of money and wanted to put it on display, any pros bike would be the last bike I would want to have. It's got to be clapped out. I would rather buy a bone stock used bike from some goon. You know that bike is still fresh.
Pit Row
Sometimes I wonder where that bike is now.
Probably leaning up against an Oklahoma barn with rotted plastics and a blown top end.
