Kenny doesn't have the heart of a warrior.

he has the heart of a 20 year old german kid whose living the dream and trying not to get burnt out.

figure it out already.

keeping kenny in the 250 would probably the dumbest decision imo...
to me it seems like he just tends to rest on his success and thats why he worked prior to the outdoors, smoked everyone in hangtown (OK tomac wasnt riding like he does not, has to be said) and was pretty dominant (now not so much).
if he stays in the 250s I'm pretty sure no one (except maybe Baggett) is gonna step up to him with tomac gone and he's gonna go on like hes doing now^^

pretty sure he wont be happy to ride around in P5-7 in the 450s so he's gonna work his butt off to keep up with barcia and tomac

but you also have to keep his age in mind... he's 2 years younger than tomac, in 2 years you can get a lot better, I mean a lot

Yeah , I'm not even trying to talk shit

kenny is one cool dude and a great racer.

but he's even said it.

he doesnt want to go " balls out " ,

he feels at his best relaxing and having fun.

it's obvious the kid puts in hard work,

not everyone's cut out to grind like rc, rv or now, et!

he's still a great rider...

I think he began to lose his confidence when he realised Tomac was gaining on him in the points and then Eli basically flattened his resolve at Washougal with that dominating display. He was probably going to try and stay consistent for the remainder of the season and see how things panned out but then he took that massive (and pretty unfortunate) digger at Millville and he realised the game was up.

Defintiely hasn't looked like the Roczen of old for a while now, but Tomac has been riding incredibly well.

maybe, or he was truly concussed. that could linger as well...

guess we'll never know

He may have also got lost chasing bike set-up. It's an easy trap for a desperate rider and I should imagine the top guys aren't immune. Eli is on a different level of course, but even without that Ken hasn't been the same rider of late.

that's what we've heard the most out of ELI and several of the geico guys,

the rock gets the bike near, they test and dial it in further and mostly leave it alone.

ride it,

learn it...

know it

At the des Nations every year, and his first year here at supercross, he's been blazing fast and looks like he's going balls out. But he never seems that way in a full championship.

yup.

edit - thay was in reply to the faded comment.

I can't help but think that Geico engine looks a bit stronger than the KTM at times. There have been a few occasions where Eli has easily pulled a gap in a drag race along a straight section of track, or out of a turn which they have exited side by side. Thats not to take anything away from Eli though, he has clearly been the better rider for the past few months.

He needs to lay off the jet skis and call Aldon. He would then be on another level.

Tomac pretty much decimated Roczen at Washougal though. That Millville crash was kind of the penultimate nail in the coffin.

I'm with ya.

While reading this I was thinking how great he is doing. Unfortunately for him, there's another guy on the track named Eli.

I hope. I can see him doing better on the 450 with his riding style too... he's just got to strengthen up a bit for it

KRocZ has nothing to be ashamed about, he was beat by an animal.

Showed us all how it was done in the SX championship. A likable German, wow!

I think Eli was able to get Spinal Tap's amp guys to build him a special throttle.....

It sure looked like it today when ET passed him for good. He hit that gas and just shot out in front of Kenny. I couldn't believe how fast that bike took off.

I'll probably get blasted for this but here goes...

I don't think KROC is much different from last year, but there was differences in the series that made him "look" better.
First, Eli took a lil' while to get going, and then he was pretty much at the speed he ended with last year. Secondly, and this is important, El Chuppacabra is riding injured and so... his outdoor speed has not been there for the most part. Barcia moved up full time to the 450's. This allowed Ken some breathing room and win possibilities early on in the series.

Ken had huge leads last year that got swallowed up, he got passed and then gapped. Same as has been happening lately, it just took a little while to show due to the reasons I listed above. I wouldn't go so far as to say he's just been lucky, but he was taking advantage of the situation that was not directly linked to his own raw speed and fitness.

That's how I've seen it, am I crazy???

You don't have to be a trainer to see that while the rest of the 250 class is posting pictures on Twitter of them training and riding Kenny is posting pictures of him surfing.

Perhaps k-roc's HUGE crash at Unadilla is having an effect on his current speed? I, for one, am amazed that he is even able to ride after that scary crash. If I had to guess, he is probably riding with some kind of injury from that fall (ribs, back, or cabeza).

I think that KRoc performance at the start of the outdoors was a fluke as Eli's head was not 100% in the game. You could even see that ET was not riding real well at the last couple of the 250 West SX events. All of a sudden ET came alive and showed his true talent. What was the change??

ET came alive once he announced that he would be riding for GEICO Honda in the 450 class for 2014. I honestly think that ET was having to sort through so many different options for who to sign with that he could not concentrate as much on training and practicing. Once he had a deal in his back pocket he became a different rider.

Calling it a fluke is a little off. He's been consistent, fast, and prepared all season. If Tomac wasn't the fastest guy on the track, Kenny usually was. Tomac just found his groove and seems to be one of those rare talents that has another gear than the rest of the field. Really no shame in losing to a guy like that and he was eons better than last year
