Happy for Mike and all the other employees. I know they are all just people, but this flip/flop in major decisions like ending everything one day, only to come back the next day with full commitment seems a bit odd for a business at this level? I would be a bit jumpy as an employee.

After major events, I have learned to wait 24-hours before making any decisions, since emotions cloud judgement...

I guess it's all good in the end (for now).

Now THIS is how you recover, and start to move on, from an entirely unsettling situation! I hope all of them can make it back to simply doing what they love most, with a passion... and that's RACING MX.

Good luck Team MCR.

But, with Genova not going to Millville and Tony suspended....who is going to be pinch hitting as MCR Team Manager this weekend??

At last this incident can finally be laid to rest, in the end a great outcome. MCR and Alessi continue to race, Jeff and Tony's bans rightfully stay in place, MXsports shows that it will not tolerate this type of behavior and sets a great president

Most importantly we got a few days entertainment including an epic video by whip.

I for one will be hoping for a top result by Mike this weekend, it has been great the way he has kept well away from the chaos, though it would be great to get his perspective on it all at the end of the season.

No matter what the opinion of Tony is...this is a distraction to Mike. In a sport where almost every rider has a routine about donning their gear, which side of the bike to mount, how many times to blip the throttle before the gate drops...something like this is HEAVY. He's gonna shake it off or it's gonna really play on him...everyone is different. I plan on rooting for #800 no matter what cause I'm hip to his moto fever. (I also plan on rooting for the Moto Poto and the Dungenator and Trey Boy, and JB and the other 35 or so guys that make the gate cause they've all got the fever too and I dig it the most.)

Sincerly believe having DV with MCR would be the best thing Genovas ever done, besides suspending TA!!

Okay! Well that should settle that.

Dear Mike Genova.....

I know I'm probably going to catch hell from everyone here for saying this , But I dig that you and your company put this apology letter out. Jeff did an incredibly stupid thing and I think you guys got thrown under the bus for something you knew nothing about.

The Laser deal.....was a dumb move on JA801's part for sure.

Tony's actions as far as I'm concerned were even more damaging and stupid ( the pulp show ).

You / your company.......I think actually got thrown under the bus through this entire thing , and even though my opinion or whatever doesn't count.......I'm sorry for that. keep hearing things get thrown around here like you had done something bad ( in the publics eye )......which as of right now I'm drawing a blank. I wasn't happy about Jake Canada losing his job , or a few of the other riders you had riding for you.....but it's your business.

As a hardcore fan of this sport and participant for the past 35+ years , I'm glad to see you and your team finish this season out. And I hope like hell to see you guys back out there for many more years to come. I also wish Mike Alessi the best of luck the remaining rounds. I think if anyone was the victim of this whole thing it was you and Mike800. Not to mention the verbal abuse Steve Matthes had to endure.

Good luck to you and your team Mike G!

to me, MCR suspending Tony (separate from mxsports suspension) was the smartest move i've seen all week/end...now someone is thinking company/team over individual bullshit (tony being a moran).

Smart move Genova! this event will stick to TA, hopefully it won't stick to MCR.
The MCR suspension is in conjunction (same time-frame) with the MX Sports one has has to serve anyway. If they're weren't paying he while serving the suspension he's already has to serve, that'd be internal punishment. But, whatever.

Mike blasting his way through the finish line whoops on Sunday, during his 2nd moto charge. He was the one to watch that moto.

thats the point. he didn't "have" to do anything. he could let tony alessi serve out the mxsports suspension. by suspending tony, albeit a gesture, shows hes admitting tony was wrong and mcr doesn't condone the actions. this to me and i'm sure to others a smart move in keeping his company/sponsors happy.

in essence i'm hoping he's distancing himself from tony and jeff's lies in this whole deal. If i'm wrong, then oh well. I do agree with someone above who quoted me and said tony needs not to come back for it to work and i totally agree. Tony should be done in this industry, he is nuclear bomb to the series and any company that brings him in.

It was the right action to take, even if it's symbolic.

And, I couldn't agree more with your last paragraph. Well said.

I have listened to The Pulp show twice now (great radio) at the point where Tony goes off the deep end screaming about a "Drug Ring" inside MX Sports, and I still cannot comprehend how this man can actually be managing a professional moto team.

Vuillemin had it right, the man needs some professional help for paranoia. If Tony stays on as manager next season Genova need to change the name to Team 5150......

Not sure if anyone has said this on here yet... I'm guessing Genova stuck up for TA until he heard TA call in to the pulpmx show. Tony sounded like a complete lunatic at the end. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! haha

100% agree Trent! BTW.....you called in too if I'm not mistaken right? I got there about 45min after the show started and I think I missed some things.....but got the good end of the show when Mike G and Tony called in. When Tony was going off....I basically stopped typing in the chat room because I was in shock at what the hell he was saying.

The pulp show.......man , I gotta be honest , I've only heard like 4 shows total....ever. But DV was cracking me up man. He is awesome on that show! What he says , with the accent he has....was making me LMFAO!

Bullshit. After hearing his words on Pulp I don't believe one word. He was nowhere near what that letter says. That was written by Moto Concepts Lawyer.

After hearing TA on Pulp, it's not hard to see why Jeff has learned to make poor life choices

Yes, that was me with the question for RV. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous... My wife asked me if I had a boner when I got off the line with RV. Lmao. You're right Though, DV's accent calling Tony a paranoid wacko! I was hurting from laughing, then Tony going into his rant and yelling "are you kidding me?" My god that episode will never be topped. I've called in there 2 times though... First time I talked to Bubba and 2nd time RV. I've never tried except those 2 times. I hardly ever listen live, I always catch it on stitcher and listen as I can. Great Radio :-)

Haha! That's awesome Trent! I've never called in , but I kinda know the feeling. Throughout the years I have had a lot of conversations with a lot of riders in the pits over the years. Been going to the Washougal national since 1980. Been to Seattle about 10-12 times I think. I felt a little nervous back in the day....and then I just realized they are people just like me and you.....only extremely fast on a dirt bike. It is pretty dang cool to meet some of these guys though.

And I'm with you on the DV thing.....I was seriously LMAO at what he was saying.

As far as that goes....I need to see if I can find out which shows were considered really , really good and download them. I don't know why I don't listen more....I always forget.

On the pulpmx website and phone app they have every episode in archives. They have the top rated episodes also in another list by themselves. I listened to one of their first episodes a while back because they had Jenna Haze (the pornstar) in studio. I listen to this crap a lot on archives if I have a furnace change out in a basement or something. People are always like "wth are u listening to Trent"... I'll say motocross talk radio, then they'll shake their head and say "only you."

This is simple for both MIKE's: STFU and let's go racing. Do WHATEVER it takes, but you put 800 on the line and race. That's how you move on.

I finally got to listen to the podcast and I'll say that I think Genova has a pretty thorough understanding of big business and the way laws work. It reminded me of school where a class room of slackers keeps laughing at the smart kid.

........and for all the crazy talk about Tony, (which I have slung myself) I really didn't think he sounded all that nuts. When he brought up the drug ring I don't think he was saying that Mx Sports is hauling cocain around the country......but I wouldn't be surprised if the name of a top motocross rider or two has turned up on some paper work of a company such as Biogenesis. (Ryan Braun)

It could be possible that some feds are watching to see how rampant the issue is. Roger Goodell has been thrown under the football bus for changing how the game is played, but people are just now starting to realize how forward thinking he was when he started those changes in football.
