I think these letters are really stupid. I would write really small and have pages and pages of data from sports almanacs, stock market, etc. Also, why would 2002 Pastrana listen to himself in present if it was his lifelong dream to win a Sx championship? Do you think he was thinking of driving cars back then over bikes?
find a new sport to follow bro. you suck

Great post. The dude is bad ass in every way and has to be one of the most talented guys to ever grace our sport. Not to mention he is completely fearless and has gonads the size of watermelons. And he has never appeared anything but sincere and his letter reflects that.

Great read. Thanks for posting!

Anyone have a link to any other athlete's letters?

I love that kid. You just get so emotionally attached to him that you go through a roller coaster watching him ride and race. I always wanted him to focus on racing because I wanted him to win so bad, but I'm glad he has lived life his own way and had fun doing it. I don't envy the pain he will feel getting up in the mornings when he is in his 40s and 50s, but his grand kids are going to get to listen to the craziest, most insane grandpa stories that have ever been told (if he can remember them Laughing ).

Way to go Travis!

I think he has a shot to go pretty far , the rally skills will transfer over to stock car racing , the feel setup etc , I have been road racing cars for a few years and I can say from experience his rally skills will be a huge plus with a loose car and not having the best set up that day. He defiantly took a better path to get there then Ricky

I like the letter, for me he's basically saying he fucked up, but it turned out pretty damn good anyway, and don't take unnessary risks (stay in bed). I guess people will see what they want to see.

Pastrana is a guy that loves to ride his bike. And do anytning extreme with anyone willing to hop in a cockpit with him. He treats anyone he interacts with like family.

Here’s a shot of him and my brother this year at pleasure valley. Just so happened that pastrana pitted next to my brother. Best weekend my brothers probably ever had!

Didn't even realise this was an old thread. Nothing like randomly resurrecting 5 year old threads.... Although I do want to see that crash.
