She wants to know why know one is talking about how good he is doing and I told her that their are some
annoying fans of our nephew who kind of ruin it for him and also many other non fans are frustrated because
of his dominance so far, but most of the real fans of MX appreciate his abilitites and how he rides a MX bike.
This is for her, Good job Ryan Daniel Villopoto, you are earning everything you have worked hard for.and you
deserve all you have accomplished thus far. Go RV2 we love you.

And he is is making more of a point than anyone on this board could behind their keyboard.

Ryan is a straight-up badass on the bike. Seems like he doesn't do much extra-curricular media, maybe that's why "nobody" is talking about him?
Also, I wish someone would step up and battle with him but the only guy with the speed required lacks that bit of aggression required to take it to him. Not RV's fault.
You' have obviously been around the sport for a while and know what a fickle bunch of nitwits we can be. The problem here is that your nephew is riding like friggin Godzilla right now and we all have a sand in our cracks because we were expecting a little more out of his competitors. Ryan is as good right now as anybody I have ever watched and I've been riding/racing/spectating since the mid seventies. Actually what sucks about the situation and held true when RC was dominating is that we only get glimpses of his riding once he kicks everybody to the curb in the second half of the moto. Tell Auntof2 that he is greatly appreciated and we are never happy about much of anything around here..lol.
Pit Row
It is a shame that he is so far out front because we do not get to see much of him on TV. I could watch him ride all day.
good stuff about her nephew, it will make her morning.
I like watching close races, but in their absence, I've enjoyed watching RV ring the shit out of every bike he's raced since he turned pro... Most entertaining rider to watch in my opinion, just WFO all the time.
Weege has said some great things about just how good RV is... There has been some stacked classes since he turned up, people say how it's gonna be close... Meanwhile RV is a 7 time AMA champ, will maybe be 11 or 12 after the next 3 years...
"What Makes RV so Great?"
Basically asking what it is that he does so much better than everyone else and why nobody has been able to step up to his game.
Look, here's the thing. RYAN VILLOPOTO is the greatest rider of this era. But I am not his biggest fan. That being said I respect the hell out of that guy for what he has done and the battles that he has won to get to this point.
It's like when McGrath was crushing everybody for so many years. As much as I love MC. He is my favorite rider of all time by the way. There was a stretch there where it was so boring because you just knew he was going to win and nobody had a chance. And they knew it too.
I was hoping for a better outdoor series and I believed my own HYPE. Thanks RV for making my summer boring
Congrats to Ryan for everything you have achieved!!!
But RV has shown up this year, just pissed off and twisting the throttle like he has gone down in the first corner every moto. TV never does justice for how fast these guys are going, but you can see it from the #2. His aggression is mind blowing. The way he is getting his rear tire on the ground after jumps and just wheeling away looks like a new way to make up time. He is making the track look smooth and we know it ain't.
I think he has improved his technique greatly this year. All these guys get a little better and little faster every year, but RV has done something or found something with himself and his bike to do what he is doing. It is incredible to watch and it’s cool to see. It’s easy to forget how much he has been through the last few years.
And I aint no fan boy, just a fan of the sport and all thr riders.
Speaking of NW legends.....I rode with Jason McCormick last weekend up my buddies track. Dude can still haul the mail on a bike....for about 1 lap. Outta shape for sure.....but it's always cool to ride with someone like that.
Like him or hate him...watching him ride the track like he hates it and wants to inflict as much pain as humanly possible on it is absolutely incredibly to watch.
Ryan Villopoto is the fastest man on earth at the moment, (Though 5, and 222 can give him a run for his money on the right day...I don't think anyone would bet against Ryan in a race) and will go down in history as one of the best there's ever been.
It's unfortunate about his injuries early in his 450 career...because I'm certain that he'd be reshaping the records books if he'd have been able to compete in those full seasons.
