It looks to me like you can watch the races live on the internet while the show is on Fuel, with no problem.
but not while they are on the NBCsports channel. Unless you have one of the providers listed, which it seams nobody has.

So all this uproar AND CURSING IN CAPS is because you can't watch the races on your computer / phone / tablet? Why not just watch it on tv? Is it because you don't have cable or direct TV? Perhaps, if moto means this much to you and causes such a strong reaction, maybe springing for cable/Direct might be something to consider? I bet it's cheaper than blood pressure medication or long term care after a 'But Iwanna watch it now!' stroke.

Viewing at my home was incredibly easy today - Step 1 : Turn on tv. Step 2 : Change channel to NBC sports, watch live moto 1 coverage.

Mind you it wasn't all rainbows and unicorns, there was the difficult task of changing the channel to fuel TV to watch the 2nd motos. Whew, what an ordeal!

If you guys are this upset over this, you must be absolutely catatonic when something REALLY difficult confronts you.

Actually Señor Spermbeard, I didn't lie at all. What I wrote was exactly how my day went.
Sorry it's hard for you to comprehend.

And while I'm not currently riding a dirtbike (it's late and dark outside), i do on occasion ride one. how about you princess, when's the last time you threw a leg over one (just askin' since it seems to matter to you so much)?

How so? The coverage is exactly them same as last year. First motos on Fuel/Allisports and second Motos on NBCSN.

The only thing different or new is the NBC Sports Extra online deal that everyone is whining about. It did not exist last year so it could not be a step backwards.

Seriously other than swapping motos/networks for this weekend how can it be worse?

How did the changes make it worse for the Austrailian audience? Did the Aussie TV network that carried the races change? Are you able to view the first motos (second this week) online? I am not trying to start an argument but trying to understand why everyone keeps saying it is worse.

I get that some people are miffed about the misunderstanding that everyone worldwide would be able to see all 4 motos live online but that was never the case last year so I am having a hard time understanding why things are worse when for the US market they are the same.
Last year we could watch the 1st moto's live on the Allisports live stream, then the 2nd moto's live on Fuel.
This year, 1st moto's on Justintv, 2nd moto's on Speed or Fox.

I'm still very happy to be able to watch all 4 races live though. Smile

Absolutely pathetic...Time Warner here and not on list. This is the last Saturday I waste trying to watch the Nats...steep downgrade from last year in my opinion.

I just want to pay MX Sports for either a yearly package for the Nationals, or a pay per race fee so I can watch online either live or almost immediate archives. It gives me no pleasure to say it, but that is one thing Youthstream has right with the GPs.

No confusion.
My schedule-live or archived.

I can you tell you dinosaur guys why MX needs to be streamed. If DC and all his altruism wants the audience to grow, and bring in the youngsters, you gotta stream. These young kids don't watch TV, they stream everything. Lots of people are dropping cable completely, and only stream.

I personally gave up on the live feed. I have no certified provider, therefore I cannot participate in the live stream. My plan is to just watch the archives the rest of the year. Either that or slicknick will keep me happy.

This^^^^^^^^

We are getting rid of Directv in favor of just streaming (Netflix, Hulu, MLB.com). There isn't shit on TV that I want to watch anymore that can't be watched over the internets - well except for moto it seems. Directv offerings where you pay for dozens of channels you don't watch is going the way of the typewriter.

I thought that Allisports was supposed to archive all of the motos? Hangtown is there, but no Thunder Valley. There are lots of recap clips.

Hey Allisport, drop putting the effort and time in creating the recaps, and just upload the full races!

DC posted before that all motos will be archived the following Monday after the races. So, tomorrow morning the full Thunder Valley races should be up.

Personally I wish they would just tape the entire race and maybe air it late saturday night. I'd rather record it and watch it the next day than the BS they do now. Not everyone gets both NBCSP and FUEL, plus I think it's ridiculous to be showing 1/2 the race on one station and the other half on another anyway. I've never heard of another sport that does that. Motocross must be really low on the totem pole to have to resort to that type of coverage. I'm not going to jump through hoops to watch these races.
You sound like such a whiny bitch. Changing from one channel to another is that hard for you? Its simple if you dont have the channels, get them. As for the 2 different channels. Do you know any other sport that has 2 different classes that each run 2 motos with an hour break in between? I imagine 4 hours of network tv is expensive. I dont know where all you spoiled pussies get this sense of entitlement. DC is trying to make the sport better and more accessible. Give it a rest already.

Serious question for jhansen510. Why are you on the attack and start calling people names and such when you do not agree with or feel you have found somehing wrong with the post?

I'll have you know I can throw my leg over a dirt bike while it's going 25mph. Can you?

I went to Hangtown, and missed the opening day stream problems, but I expected to deal with a rough day for Thunder Valley (after reading some of the horror story threads) when I had to watch from home. Instead, I had a smooth day watching all four motos in perfect quality online. Dish isn't on the list of providers, so I called my pops, got a log in and everything went perfect. Sure, there were a shit ton of commercials, and they weren't always focused on the battles I wanted to see, but overall I was pumped to watch all for motos live.

One thing that does blow my mind, though, is that NBC Sports Extra allowed that completely non working Android App to be released. How a billion dollar company allows that to happen is beyond me. The thing just freezes every time you open it, and thinking it must be my phone I googled the thing for reviews, but it turns out nobody can get the thing to work.

Hey Dan, did you see one of the tweets you posted during the live broadcast?

Things that went right:
TV guide was correct
All 4 motos were live and on DirecTV
Broadcast director had a better day

I'm a happy camper!

No but I heard.. It was the Tweet about Mike Alessi cross jumping Canard at 50mph. That was gnarly, and Mikey needs to stop that. I can't imagine what went through Trey's mind right then. I'm sure it had a lot less 4 letter words than would of went through my mind since it was Trey. Wink

Fair enough. As long as you realize that your post makes you sound like a entitled whiny lil brat. If your biggest problem is having to change the channel how do you deal with everyday life. Moto is now on sameday with both motos being showed live! It was not that long ago when you had to wait several days to a week to see what happened. We are going in the right direction.

If you missed the first 450 moto you didn't miss much. Quite possible the worst TV coverage of any race I've ever watched. So bad it inspired me to join this forum and voice my opinion. Cutting away multiple times missing passes, missed the last several laps talking to some bimbo and Trey Canard about the hurricane, barely came back in time to catch the final lap. It's cool to support the people affected by the hurricane, but there's a time and a place for it. They could have shown racing and just played Trey's audio over it. Also, the camera followed the winner back to the pits instead of showing how the rest of the field finishing. All the ass lathering about the motos has gone way to far. Whomever is responsible for the coverage, A for effort, F for execution. Don't even get me started on the major ball dropping that is the tv scheduling. Two different channels, no HD, have to watch it online, which is next to impossible to do i'm finding out.
What a mess.
Um, we don't have hurricanes in Oklahoma

Wow, you guys complain about every thing possible. Live racing, live coverage.

If you aren't bright enough to find the channels, you have issues.

I was out of town all week but made sure I had motocross set to record on Fuel before I left. Then got home 30mins ago and found out it was moved to NBC Sports and was like sonofabitch!
same here, went to watch it this morn and NADA.
I was at Thunder Valley and I can tell you that they do take the TV show seriously.
Everything revolves around the timing, everything around the track is placed accordingly and thought out, the interviews, podiums, ect.
I haven't seen any motos this year on TV yet so I'm not aware of the issues, but I know it is the main thing that they worry about at the event.
